SLOW PACE OF PLAY
Sooooo Slow !! No rangers on the course. We waited and waited and waited on every tee box and every approach shot. This course is very forgiving. Fairways are in decent shape, the rough is not very high. Greens for the most part were in good shape…a few were a bit were a bit fuzzy and had some weeds. Overall i liked the course….but I would not go back in season. Too many slow golfers. I wait till July.
Nice course but...
It's a very nice course with a lot of good amenities, including a good practice range and club house facilities.
The course layout is not bad, but the overall maintenance conditions have been deteriorating in the past few months, I feel.
The green conditions are not up to par for this type of good course. The edges around the cup are all elevated, rejecting slow moving balls unnecessarily. Too many times the ball jumps due to uneven spots.
It's a good course that can be better with a more proper maintenance. For the conditions of the course, the price is too much.
1st time at the Village Golf Club in Royal Palm Beach
Greens in very good shape and rolled well. Fairways were good overall. Tee boxes could use a little TLC.
Staff was cordial and helpful. Good experience.
Village Golf
This is a great course and value but it can be a bit slow when it comes to pace of play. This was the slowest I’ve ever seen it play at 3 hours for 9 holes. Unfortunately I paid for the twilight rate and should have paid the 9 hole rate but I teed off at 2:36pm and figured I’d get in at least 14-15 holes not 9.
Terrible
The course was nice and good layout.
9:51 tee time but teed off around 10:40.
No frost delay, no lightning, perfect golf weather but about an hour delay.
Never go back. It was the first and last round there.
Pace of play
I never write reviews but I feel like this needed attention of some sort. Tee time was 2, when arriving to the bag drop there were no carts in site. fine, go up the clubhohse to check in get some balls to hit at range and ask about the cart situation " little busy but by the time your done at the range one will be ready" fair enough. gets around 1:50 so i get my cart and head to the starter just find out their are 5 groups ahead of us sitting by the tea box waitijg to tee off. How does this even happen??!! never got a straight answer. finished 9 holes in 3 and a half hours. have a feeling this never happens and hope it doesnt happen again. Ill be back to finish because overall the course played well and is in good shape
Nice course, friendly staff
Staff was very friendly. Course was in great shape and we played in 4 hours despite it being relatively busy. My only complaint was that we had a 10am tee time. I met a friend there who was staying in Miami and I was coming from Vero Beach. We checked in by 930am and wanted to hit a bucket of practice balls since we each had a long drive to get there and hadn't played in a couple months. Starter told us we were up next even though the 948am group was also checked in and ready to play. We said they could go first as we had already purchased a bucket of range balls but starter said No we needed to tee off right away. He offered to hold onto the bucket if we wanted to hit them after our round. It took us several holes to get loose so we didn't even keep score on the front 9.
