Best Public Course in the Area!
I recently moved to the Winchester area and have played about 4-5 courses within a 45 minute radius and Blue Ridge Shadows has been by far the best. Fun layout and really solid course conditions. The pace of play is typically pretty slow would be my only compliant… but that’s become common for anywhere that is open to the public unfortunately.

What a gem of a course !
Played Blue Ridge Shadows for the first time and really enjoyed it. Greens ran fast and true and the layout gave you a little of everything. Knowing the course would definitely make some holes easier but saying that, I still beat my handicap so if you hit straight you’ll always have chance to score well. Come and play it and you won’t be disappointed !

Great course, great staff… the 4some in front of us was slow, 5 1/2 hr round. They could have let us play through several times but chose not to. Hate to take a star away from the course for that but can’t give it a 5… would recommend this course

This course has a great layout
I always love playing BRS although it’s a long way from my home in Woodbridge VA. It starts out as a links style course but then quickly transitions into the traditional parkland course. The back nine is almost exclusively links style. Lots of elevation changes throughout. The course is in very good shape:tees, fairways, bunkers and greens. The clubhouse is nice and sits on top of a hill overlooking the course. Course personnel were friendly. If you are looking for a nice escape visit scenic Blue Ridge Shadows G.C.in Front Royal VA. You won’t be disappointed!

Marshal needed
Pace of play is horrible! 4 groups on a par 4 in the middle of the week!!! Course is in good shape but 10 mins a hole to tee off is too much.

Perfection
From start to finish this course is pristine. Tee boxes are like standing on carpet. Fairways are beautiful ( other than divots that players don't take time to repair) . Greens are firm and fast. Best that I have this year. Can't wait to find another deal on Golfnow. Big thumbs up to the course maintenance crew.

Good Layout, Bad Pace of Play
First time playing here and I enjoyed the layout and elevation changes throughout all 18 holes. The course was in really good condition. The pace of play however was terrible. Took us just over 5 hours. There was a 4 group backup on the par 3 10th with what looked like a first time player taking well over 15 shots. Didn’t see a marshall the whole day!

Great layout. Course offers a lot of variety
This course is w beautiful setting and generally in good condition with the exception of the greens which were fairly worn with ball marks. I will play there again

Excellent course especially for the Hot Deal price and the staff was exceptional. Only complaint would be that the carts were in poor shape. (Torn seats and not cleaned out.)
