Pace of play Terrible
It just seems to be the standard that anyone willing to pay for a round of golf can take as long as they want to play with no consideration for the rest of the course. If you have more double, triple or worse bogeys than pars or bogeys maybe you should play weekdays in the day or evenings, not on the weekends. Use the weekends to go to the range and practice until you acquire some consistency. I have played a lot of golf in my life and even the golfer that shoots a 90 can still get around a course in 4 - 4 1/2 hours. Be ready when it's your turn and don't forget that there are golfers behind you waiting. Keep up with the group in front of you. Pay attention to what's in front and behind you. Enough rambling. LOVE this course will be back and hope there is some kind of marshalling. Maybe the Midwest should be like every where else I've played in the country. If the marshal sees that you are holding people up they tell you to pick up and go to the next hole or let them play through.
Awesome
The carts were high tech cold order food and drinks and they would bring it to you
Fun course with lots of different elevation changes. Greens are in good shape and fairways were mowed perfectly. I like this course.
Hidden gem
Wolf Hollow is a hidden gem that is well maintained, well-staffed, and is a great choice for some fun golf adventures. The holes are all interesting and laid out with some uphill shots, some blind shots, some shots that must carry to avoid a hazard, and a fair amount of rough and sloped fairways. I really loved the putting challenge as many greens were quite quick with hidden undulations. Carts had new GPS features that were very helpful! I highly recommend this course!!
First time playing
Decided to give this course a try. Haven’t played before because it’s an hour away from home but have been keeping it in mind.
Everything about the course was wonderful!
Awesome layout running through the hills. Lots of elevation change and no 2 holes are similar. Great views as well.
The course was in great shape with no real flaws noticed. The greens were smooth and fast!
Pace of play was about right for a Sunday morning. We let a twosome play through at the turn but we never had to wait and the group behind was on the tee as we were putting.
All in all it was way more than expected and we will definitely be back.
PS - If you’re coming from St. Charles or Chesterfield area, take Hwy T. It’s a beautiful drive through Babler State Park. And at 7am on a Sunday morning it’s pure zen
Pleasantly Surprised
Read previous reviews which recommended trying course. Glad I drove an extra 15 minutes from course I normally play. Wolf Hollow currently in great condition. Fairway great , greens great shape and tough but fun putting. Bargain to play at current rates. Just like Mikey from Life Cereal says- Try it, you’ll like it!
This is a fun country course that used to be very inexpensive to play. Now the pricing is fairly high (thanks to COVID, but still a fun round.
Wolf Hollow Course review
Nice course and good value. Very hilly with several blind shots required. Greens and tee boxes were in good shape but fairways were a bit tough. Overall, a good value.
Thank you for leaving us a review. We are sorry to hear your experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you will give us another try in the future. Thank you for choosing Wolf Hollow Golf Club.
