Wolf Hollow Golf Club

Wolf Hollow is a great course and layout in the hills of Missouri. Lots of elevation change and some tough but fair greens .

This is a hard course to review as my experience was both good and bad. lets start with the good. the course is in great condition considering it is the middle of February and we have had a large amount of rain recently. the views are nice and the course plays fair. fairways and greens were both in really good condition. the overall cost was affordable with reasonable prices concessions. Now to the bad part. it was mentioned in other reviews but the management and staff left our group with a very unfavorable opinion of them. we went out with a 4 man group and we were doing a cart scramble to same time. we finished the front 9 in 1 hr 50 mins. we popped into to the clubhouse at the turn to use the restroom and pick up some drinks and brats to take with us on the back nine. we were at the tee at hole 10 teeing off at the 2 hr mark of our round and we were told by the staff that we were playing to slow and needed to pick up the pace. I find this unacceptable as we were making good time especially considering this was our 1st time on the course. additionally they sent a "spotter" to watch us on every hole of the back nine. this spotter was all but worthless as they would regularly be in our line of sight causing a distraction and they didn't actually help find any balls that actually needed finding. they were just there to push us through the course as fast as possible. in the end all 4 of us playing had the same opinion of the course. that opinion being: its a nice course and would like to play it again once spring hits but probably wont since the staff doesn't seem to appreciate our business and there are other plenty of other courses to give my money to.

Beautiful February day. Course was in decent shape, fairways and greens both cut short. 5 some in front very slow, playing off inappropriate tees for their less than stellar abilities. Where’s the marshal when you need him?

Still, a great day for golf on an excellent course.

Wolf Hollow is an outstanding course for the green fee paid. It has great elevation changes with some difficult but fair greens. Love the variety of holes and the staff is very friendly.

Have played this course many times, stroke play and in tournaments. The course is always in great shape. The staff is courteous and friendly. The food and beverages are always delicious and priced right. I highly recommend trying it out. I doubt you’ll be disappointed.

Well kept course with lots of hills and blind shots, but really fun to play. Lots of trees but they keep the leaves off the fairways. Greens can be really challenging with lots of break

This course is always in good condition. Greens and fairways are both nice. Greens are challenging. The layout is tough for first-timers but fun once you know the course. If you haven't played it, you should.

The course has a very hilly layout with a requirement to place several shots. A must play if possible. When we played the greens were cut too fast which made the course even more difficult but still fun.

Well it was a windy cool Day but boy was it Beautiful! I sucked playing but the course was beautiful!

I will say it is an interesting course that is FAR away from downtown. Scenic layout with many interesting elevation changes. However, I’m not a big fan of blind landing areas and there are a number of holes with them.

The course was packed during our round and that led to having to wait on nearly every shot. The greens were in weird conditions, though. Some of them were very soft and had a lot of ball marks on them. Others were quite hard and decent shots bounced pretty far away. Greens had a lot of deceptive slope to them and had some long comebackers. A lot of the tee boxes weren’t in great shape but we found decent spots just ahead of the designated spots.

I had an odd finishing stretch in my round. The 17th hole had a temporary green which was decently flat. I hit my tee shot fat and probably had 30 yards to the hole. But I holed out from the rough into a cup that was full of nasty looking water. On the final hole, I hit my best tee shot of the day that rolled out pretty far. From about 200 out, I hit a worm burner that ran up all the way to about 15 feet for a very rare (for me) eagle putt. Missed it but had a tap-in birdie to go two-under on the last two holes.

I guess the good vibes from the finish made me rate the course a little bit higher than it maybe should be! I would like to play it again in the summer (when the course should be in even better shape) but not sure when I will make it all the way out there. Excellent value for the price we booked.

Course was in great shape despite the recent heavy rains. Started out a little slow but the pace picked up after about 6 holes.

Greens good despite most players not fixing divots. Fairways gorgeous although hilly. Tees very good. Staff always prompt and helpful. Great course to train on for links play with hills and some blind shots.

Played on a Tuesday morning. Course was in great shape staff was welcoming. The only issue was the pace of play as a foursome and a twosome ahead of us had a half dozen groups backed up. Prodding from a marshal would have been greatly appreciated. This a great course at a good price I will be back
