Great Value! Great Condition!
Great winter rate! Cart included for $30, a steal!
Course was in great shape! Greens rolled well and even though the fairways were dormant, everything was in good shape. Can't wait for the spring and the course to green up!
Value was great! The new Membership they're offering is a great deal! Best course for the best value North of the River.
Always enjoy playing here!
It's winter, but still...
Not really sure what's going on here. Lived in the northland my entire life and have played just about every course the metro area has to offer. Used to play Tiffany all the time, and even used to go to the Senior Tour events there when Tiffany held them. The course was excellent back then. Now, it is a far cry from what it used to be. You can almost tell that when Spring really kicks in, the course will still take a long time to recover from neglect, or whatever has been going on out there. Kind of looks like they are just treading water to stay afloat. Understand that golf courses in general don't churn a ton of revenue, but perhaps Tiffany could make it more worthwhile for the locals to play consistently there.
The 'membership' rates are ridiculous - $2550/year for unlimited play. This is crazy. You'd have to play 40 rounds to get it down to $63/round. And even there 25 round play pass for $1675 is crazy - that's $67/round. These were acceptable rates in 2002 when Tiffany was in it's prime. To be honest, there are several other courses in the area that cost must less than Tiffany, and are in better shape. Not really sure what their strategy is. They need to rethink the rates they're charging to the public and their members. I'd play there all day long in the $30-40 range. Anything more than that, I'm going somewhere else. And this goes for the three buddies I played with yesterday. We were kind of all in disbelief how bad the course all together.
How about a 10 play pass for $350? I know multiple people that would pay that all day long.
Winter golf
Considering it is winter, the course is in pretty good shape. I've always liked the layout and thought it was very challenging. I'm not sure how the bunker re-design is going to turn out though. Seems like 80% of them are being made much smaller or eliminated completely. Will have to see how it looks this summer.
Great course in the Northland
I grew up in the Northland and have played Tiffany for years. I have always loved the layout. In recent years the conditions have deteriorated a bit, and the bunkers last year were almost unplayable. However, it looked like they were addressing the issue. I plan to play at Tiffany in a few days and hope the bunkers have been address.
Poor pace of play and course conditions.
Just average. Nothing great.
The course has an open layout
For a fall day we really did not have to much trouble with leaves. Fairways were wide and mostly free of trees
Fun. Robert Trent Jones, Jr. courses
Tiffany Greens is a relatively modern course on which the PGA once played a few tournaments in the early 2000s. It isn't quite up to those standards now but has an interesting layout around a couple of creeks, with good greens. We played in mid-October and the grass was just starting to go dormant but still very playable. Staff was helpful in storing our bags since we went straight to the course from the airport. Rental clubs were fair - clean though no sets were complete. One set was missing a putter but the ranger made a special trip to get one.
The bunkers are being redone so those were all to be treated as ground under repair. They are working to make the course more like its original layout, which I applaud.
All in all, a good time and a course I'd recommend again any time of year.
Tee Boxes and Fairways
Wasnt happy with the course conditions. The teeboxes, clover in fairways, and bunkers were all in horrible condition.
Tiffany always wonderful
Tiffany Greens is a semi-private course that once was the site of a PGA Senior tour stop. It is a Robert Trent Jones designed course that is challenging but is playable from the proper tee by every level golfer. Early October found the greens in excellent shape with aerating done a month ago. Leaves are falling late in KC this year so no problem finding balls in the rough. a truly enjoyable experience.
Great experience
The layout of the course was challenging yet playable for all skill levels. Staff was knowledgeable and helpful. Looking forward to playing this course again.
Really good course
Play Tiffany many times. Almost always in very good shape. Good greens, roll true. A little wet yesterday but still played very very good. Had to watch out for the rough, hides the ball. Look forward to our next trip.
577496eddie - Thank you for the 4 star rating! We look forward to seeing you again as well!
Great layout
Very great layout, greens were in pretty good shape. Would definitely recommend it
Course was in great shape except the bunkers
Tee to green the course was in great shape. Everything except the bunkers. The bunkers were possible the worst I've ever played out of. Not one of them had sand. They were all extremely hard and literally felt like dirt. Long bunker shots were easy but short ones were impossible due to not being able to blast the sand. I was in a few green side bunkers and was penalized more so than I should have been due to the overall poor condition. I still like the course and would recommend playing it for sure! Hopefully they address the lack of sand and hard pan in the bunkers.
Just a heads up that they are doing some bunker work and playability has improved greatly. They've added a lot of soft sand to many of the bunkers.
Fore!!
I like that they have longer par 3's than most courses. Several holes really make you think about your strategy. Grrrrr! Those well placed sand traps throughout are like a magnet! Good times. Play can be a little slow here. No Marshall to keep people move along. Staff has the typical blah drum attitude except for the beverage cart personnel who are very friendly. Clubhouse folks could make you feel a little more welcome. This is based off of several visits now.
Nice layout
Great course in excellent shape. All around top rated for the money. I'll play again when in area
the Tiff
Course is in great condition and demands ball control.
Great course, great service.
The round was awesome, even after a thunderstorm the course was in great conditions. Very friendly staff and cheap snacks. Would highly recommend.
Jackson4513050,

Snail's Pace and Broken-Down Carts
We (a two-some) played this course on a Friday afternoon, and when we booked our tee time online, everything looked wide open. However it took us three hours to get through 11 holes (no exaggeration). And based on this course's layout, there was no time for a break after hole #9.
I complained (first politely, and then later, more firmly) to the course ranger, who told me that the pace was "normal," and further suggested that we were simply being impatient. I've played this course several times this year, and trust me, the pace was not "normal"--at Tiffany Greens or anywhere else.
It seemed that several residents (including some teens wearing basketball shorts) had simply walked out of their homes and started playing on the hole nearest their backyard. Alternatively, the clubhouse had decided to simply pack the course with a bunch of beginners, who we saw hitting multiple shots from the tee.
It got worse: our cart broke down at the 12th tee. We were able to drive it (in a herky, jerky, working, not-working, should we push it?) manner back to the clubhouse. When we alerted the cart barn kid to the defective cart, he told us something like: "uh, yeah, uh, there's about, uh, five of the carts that do that." Gee. Thanks for giving us one of the good ones.
In short, a slow, clogged course, made slower by a broken down cart. Given the pace of place and the time if took to return a worn out cart to the clubhouse, we didn't have time to finish our round. In hindsight, I should have asked for a refund.
Slow pace and broken-down carts
This is my regular course, but I may find another. We (a two-some) tried to get in 18 holes before what was supposed to be a rainy weekend. It took us just over 3 hours to get through the 11th hole ( no exaggeration). And the way this course is designed, it means we could not stop at the clubhouse after hole #9. I complained about the pace politely (at first) to the ranger, and then complained repeatedly and eventually loudly to the same ranger (who we saw several times), but was told the pace was normal. Hardly. Worse, our cart broke down at hole 12. We took the slow, bucking, working, not working drive back to the clubhouse, which took forever. When I told the guy running the cart barn about our broken cart, he just shrugged and said, 'yeah, we've got about 5 carts that do that.' Gee, thanks for giving us one of the 'good' ones. Overall, pretty disappointing experience.
KCMOHacker,
Thank you for playing with us recently and taking the time to send us your feedback of your round here! We would like to formally apologize for the unpleasant experience you had with us. As one of our avid golfers, your opinion means a lot. We will look into the pace of play issue and immediately address the cart situation. We hope that you could eventually make it back to see us again.
Sincerely,
Tiffany Greens GC Mgmt
