They probably should not have allowed play on this day.
It's hard to say. I know this is a good course and I would love to play it on a normal day but it was one of the least enjoyable rounds I've played in some time. Here are the reasons: It has rained a lot lately which I know contributes to what I'm about to say.
1) The rough just off the fairways was long and it's frustrating to miss the fairway by 3 yards and not be able to find your ball! I have no problem with it being a tough lie and having no chance to hit the green....but not being able to find the ball when you see right where it went off the tee just stinks!
2) I hate "cart path only" golf. If I had known it was CPO I would have not got a tee time. Somehow I think that should be made known if you're booking online or calling in. We weren't in a slow group but it still took us a full 5 hours to get around and we didn't wait for the group in front of us except for a couple of times at the par 3s and once or twice hitting into a green
3) I understand why it was CPO, but it was so bad that balls plugged in the fairway and you're tip toeing across fairways trying not to get your shoes muddy or slip and fall.
Great course!
Tiffany is one of my favorite courses in the Northland. However, due to the recent rains, some of the fairways were somewhat soggy. The cart path only was a must during our last round, but tended to lengthen the time required to complete the 18 holes. Overall a great outing!
challenging course but wide fair ways make it very playable
One of the best course in Kansas City. Always in good shape from tee box to the cup.
Most of my ratings were based on the fact that it is January and we had just had some rain the night before.
I really looked forward to my round on Friday as Tiffany Greens is one of my favorite courses in Kansas City. I can't really blame the couse, but it just was not a fun round, the course was very wet, the greens were long, and slow, but i am sure they kept that way for the winter, and the wind was blowing around 30 mph.
It was not enjoyable, but i am not going to throw the blame on Tiffany Green.
Conditons great, play slow
Course was in great shape, fairways and tee boxes excellent, greens spongy. monitors in each cart helpful. Course was backed up, very slow play, course marshals on duty but didn't improve situation, waited on every shot for 18 holes, very painful.
Great Layout - Excellent Conditions - Very Friendly Staff!!!
We had a SUPER golf experience! We really enjoyed the challenging and never boring course layout and the course conditions were very good! We were especially impressed with the super friendly staff! A MUST play and a Great Value! Well worth it!
Nice midwinter round
We'd been waiting awhile for a weekend day with nice weather to get out on Tiffany. Finally got it with a Saturday at 61 degrees. Though buff colored, the zoysia fairways were in good condition. The greens were a bit bumpy here and there but mostly rolled true. Tee boxes were fine and they even had a cart girl out, which was a surprise. Will be watching the forecast for the next opportunity.
Great course, fun to play & a challenge!!
Great course for the price. Well maintained with a friendly staff. Highly Recomended!!
Robert Trent Jones
This course is one of the best in KC. Playing it makes you feel like you are on tour. Each hole gives you a new and interesting challenge. For serious golfers this is one "Heck of a course". Be sure you play it soon.
Beautiful, challenging course in great shape
I played Tiffany Greens on a SUPER windy day that I thought would keep the crowds down, but it was still busy. Slowed us down a bit (took 5 hours), but no big deal since it was a Sunday. Course is beautiful but tough, with lots of holes finishing next water. I got a good price with a hot deal ($33), but I'm not sure the normal weekend rate of $66 would have been worth it; there's a lot of good golf in Kansas City for less than $66. Overall, I'm looking forward to playing this course again, but being a pretty open course the wind will definitely play a factor. 5 stars though!
top tier golf course
Fairway bunkers make accuracy a must! Be prepared to use every club in the bag at this venue.
Don't miss approach shot!
Was shocked to see fivesomes on a course of this level of difficulty. Pace was very frustrating, but I did love the protection of the greens. When you did have a good approach shot, you felt like you accomplished something.
Love this course
I have played Tiffany Greens 4 times in 8 years, usually during the spring or summer. This time I played it in the fall and the day was very windy and cool, but the greens were surprisingly fast. I like the layout of the course, there are water hazards on several of the holes, but none severe. The rough had still been mowed, unlike other courses who tend to let it go this time of year. The pace of play was excellent, but then, they were very few golfers braving the elements this day. I always look forward to playing Tiffany Greens and hope to do so again when the weather is better.
nice design for this golf course.
I have been playing this golf course for years and I was very disappointed the last time about the conditions of the greens , specially on the front nine. The sand traps need a lot of sand you play on the dirt in the bunkers. The fair ways are in very good shape.
Nice layout
Very nice golf course with many chances to loose golf balls in water hazards.
Would love to play this course again.
Decent Course, but Challenging
Pretty good course overall - the conditions were, on the whole, decent (there were some stressed out areas though, which is understanding given the trying summer the region went through).
The one thing that stuck in my craw, however, was the first hole, which, in my humble opinion, is a tricked out, unnecessarily tough opening hole. Friendly people though. And, with the savings I enjoyed through GolfNow, it was even sweeter!
Too slow play
Course was in good shape and I enjoyed the challenge but they need to address the groups slowing play!
Some of the Toughest greens around
First time I have had the chance to play at Tiffany Grrens. The pace was a bit slower than I liked, but the course was great. The greens, with there many tiers and tough pen placements were very challenging. Looking forward to trying it again sometime.
Loved it.
The course is in great shape after a period of extreme heat and drought has left other courses in the area in bad shape. Kudos to the staff.
