About
Waikele Country Club sprawls across the gently sloping landscape of Waipio, just west of Waikiki. The golf course overlooks Pearl Harbor with views stretching to Diamond Head. The layout features rolling fairways and undulating greens, which are accented with strategically placed bunkers. Ted Robinson designed the course, incorporating his signature water features throughout. Keeping the ball in play off the tee is integral to scoring well on this layout. The fourth hole is a short par 4 that is known for being one of the course's greatest challenges. It plays downwind, requiring a skillful lay-up off the tee in order to set up the short-iron approach to the two-tiered green that is protected by a pond. On Waikele Country Club's back nine, the 17th is another favorite hole amongst players. Beginning on an elevated tee, the hole plays to a deep, narrow green with water and a small sand bunker to the front.

The course was in good shape.
Unfortunately we are stuck behind a foursome the whole day. They could have let us through, would have saved us 45 min. There was no course Marshall to monitor slow play. On top of that some of them were hitting 2 balls
Great course to enjoy with friends or new acquaintances
Really enjoyed the course, I play off a handicap of 1 and the course was relatively straight forward but extremely enjoyable. My biggest criticism is not with the course or staff, it is with Golf Now. I travelled from mainland U.S to play in Hawaii on my way home to Australia. I booked on the website 2 days before my round, all the indications on the website was that there were few spots available. When I got to the course, there were plenty of spots available, the course had been air rated which was not reflected on the website. So I play a course with holes from fairway to green, tough to make a putt from 3 feet, yet I pay full price. The staff could not apologise enough, bit it's not there fault that the website is inaccurate.
Great Course
Slow round but great course. The steel cups were a lot different than normal but were pretty cool. Excellent coirse.
Great course but lacking one feature
For being a country club and the money paying to play, there was no cart girl or cart beverage out on the course. Most country clubs I've played have it or have water stands by every few holes to get a drink of water. Still would go play this course again but it would be nice if beverage cart was going around.
Overpriced...
Staff: Pro shop and starters not friendly at all.
No beverage cart
No water stations
Had torrent clubs charged $65 for 5 year old clubs.
Greens were bombed out.
Just not what they think they are as a golf club! Way better options for cheaper.
Five Hour Round
Need to manage slow teams. I was the fourth team out in the morning and it took 5 hours to play our round because the first team was so slow.
Good pace of play and good condition
Course was in great condition and green was rolling good. Course on the shorter side but plenty of challenges around the green to keep you guessing. Pace of play was the best I’ve seen in Oahu as most courses are slow. We finished within 4 hours.
Fun layout
The good:
The layout is a lot of fun and wide open. Good variety of holes. Greens have a lot of undulation and after the first hole I figured out why they need to keep the speed down. Course condition I’d give it an 8/10. As usual in my various rounds on Oahu some bunkers had sand and some didn’t. Bunkers should have consistent sand.
The bad:
Pace of play was really bad. Gentlemen in front said he plays out here often and it’s the worst he’s ever experienced. Summer time play should always have a beverage cart for drinks to stay hydrated. At no point before we started play did a staff member inform us that there wouldn’t be a beverage cart. Only water available was at a water fountain by the bathroom. The water came out as a slow trickle and smelled… well… not so good.
All in all if it wasn’t for the slow play and lack of a beverage cart it was great.
Great Golf & Food
Always enjoy this golf course of what it has to offer. Great golf course, great food and Awesome overall Hawaiian Vibe!
