Royal Kunia Country Club
About
Royal Kunia Country Club boasts a reputation as one of the best and most scenic golf courses on Oahu. The course is perched high above the Ewa plain, offering panoramic views of the entire South Shore, stretching from Pearl Harbor to the downtown skyline of Honolulu to the famed Diamond Head. The layout rolls across a gently undulating landscape, offering a diverse layout of short par 4s and demanding par 5s. Water comes into play on a few holes and there are strategically placed bunkers throughout. Its coastal location guarantees that wind will be a factor in determining your outcome. The signature hole comes exactly midway through the course. Royal Kunia Country Club's par-5 ninth requires three strong shots that avoid the numerous troubles from tee to green including bunkers, trees, water, and of course, wind.

Awesome Views
A great course with awesome views of Pearl Harbor and Diamond Head.
Pace of play was great.. It is pretty hilly with several blind shots.
Great view of Diamond Head/Waikiki
Awesome course. I am a resident but have not played Royal Kunia due to the green fees (approx. $100+ for two-some). GolfNow...what a deal. I will definitely use the site to check for other deals, even play Royal Kunia again. Starter was very pleasant, even let us go out early before large group (tourists). Play was perfect, no rush, nobody pushing and group in front played perfect as far as round goes.
course is good.... everything else not so much. plus a $32 riders fee is outrageous
Course is nice but the riders fee is ridiculous. I will be back but not my wife.
Nice, but long wait on the course.
Course is beautiful and somewhat challenging. It's just that there was a club ahead of us that we're 2 groups of 6 and Omg! They took forever on the greens!!! There was also a couple in front of us and 3 other groups behind us. Maybe scheduling should be looked at better. But why am I complaining, I paid only 20$$ on Golfnow baby! Thank goodness cause if I paid more, I wouldn't have been too happy.
Great view of Honolulu
The weather during our play was excellent with no waiting on each tee. The 3 of us finished the 18-hole round in 2 hours and 45 minutes.
On top of the highland
This course is one of a kind. Beautiful vistas from almost every hole. One to the city pearl harbor and waianae mountains on the other. The fairways and hazards well kept and the greens good. There is a driving range the slops down rather then up which is challenging the knowledge of your your clubs distance
The staff are mostly retired guys and are friendly and accomodating.
Love playing this course
Made my rainy day
We started playing under partially sunny skies, but by the fifth hole it got very dark and thunder could be heard in the distance. By the next hole, the sky opened up and it started pouring and I do mean pouring. Our poor cart was hydroplaning as we tried to get back to the cart barn as the pandemonium mounted of hurried and totally drenched golfers all scurried out of harms way, because now the lightning was right on top of us. The staff was fabulous, helping everyone try and get dry, handing out extra towels, etc and then the unexpected and unprecedented happened. They actually gave everyone a raincheck. If you were already on the back nine, then they gave you a 9 hole rain check, but because we had not completed our front nine, they gave a whole 18 round rain check. Talk about hospitality and excellence in service. Turned our rainy, rained out golf day into a future golf date that will be much appreciated and we just can't wait to get out there to enjoy this beautiful and well managed course again. One quick insiders note: if you are bringing snacks make sure you have a zipper type bag, as the mongoose on the course are crafty and will rob you of your goodies when you go to putt out on some of the greens.
Great course
This course has some of the best views on O'ahu. Very enjoyable to play.
Friendly course and fun course
It was raining, but overall course condition was good to play. A little traffic due to Saturday. Strongly recommend to average player.
Punched greens but great price
Got a great price for this course due to recent airation of greens, Rest of the course was in good condition and was not crowded at all. Nice scenic course with views of Waikiki to Kapolei. Can't beat it for more than 50% off the regular price.
Fast play Sunday
I'm very happy with the fast pace of play for a Sunday teetime. Played a round in about 4.5 hours, hardly had to wait at all. The staff was great; we showed up a little early so the starter sent us out before a tour group. Even the tourists seem to be very aware of pace of play here, perhaps a credit to the tour companies. The greens were very nice, hold but pretty quick. The fairways are green and well-maintained. Overall a great day of golf.
Great views and nice course
Watch out for holes two and three... Water will eat up your balls quick. Overall a nice course though the clubhouse is a trailer. Who's playing golf in the clubhouse anyways? The fairways were nice, greens quick, and the bunkers were red dirt and plentiful. The views from Makakilo to diamond head were amazing, and the weather is usually cooler and cloudier than the rest of the island. I'd say its a nice course to play that's away from the crowds, but for the money you can play other better courses in the area. With a golfnow local resident deal I will be back.
Nice Condition
The staff at the course was very pleasant. The pace of the course was good and the greens were nice and steady. Fairways were nice and scenery was nice of many holes.
The staff is rude, poorly trained
Staff is unwilling to greet, welcome or even the decency to acknowledge any concerns that you may bring up. David the pro shop attendee made it seem like he was doing us a favor to play on his course, said he did not care if anyone plays the course at all- take it or leave it mentality. Definatley not the Aloha spirit by any means, what a let down.
Nice course layout, decent yardages.
Well maintained course and great for all type of players.
Beautiful day at Royal Kunia
Beautiful weather on 11/11 after rainy periods the past few days. The course was in good shape, and played very fast. We finished in about 3 hrs 45 min. Beautiful views toward Diamond Head on many holes, and nice course layout. The links wind up and down the hillsides, and make for an interesting round.
Actually played there before. Club house and tee time service good and pleasent. Outside service bed. We played at Ewa inter. because of rain.
Played there before. Was raining when we arrived. No outside help arrived to take our bags tho there was employees under cover cause of rain. Encountered this before and only play there for club or special tourns. They need to have better customer service to survive!!

The price much to high. Special rate like getting lower price on golf now deals was worth $45.00. Course needed attention.
aloha,
Great layout, but greens slow.
Course in overall good condition, but the greens were very slow and sand traps were not very good, some with very little sand.
Bad
As A group of two and following a five some, we had several employees pulling pins, hitting balls into us before we got of the greens, clanking their carts behind us and on the tee box... This was way before cart curfew and began on the 13th hole. Beware of slow play and horrible customer care!
