Nice course in good condition. Pace of play was good. Excellent staff. If they had food available it would be nice to sit and enjoy the view after playing.

Big Island Gem
Makani could be my overall new fav course on the big island . Super fun track with a mix of challenging holes that make you think you’re way around. Tee shots present a chance to rip it with driver or ask you to use your fairway finder instead. Risk reward is everywhere. Greens were immaculate and ran true. Hole 17 and the island green is a beauty !! Staff were super friendly .and the price is right !! My only gripe is some fairways and tee boxes are a little rough. Will definately be back .

One of the best in Kona area
Although the greens were aerated, green rolled well and fairways were very nice. One of the best values in Kona area. Originally The Big Island Country club, a wonderful course. Love the 17th Island Green 3 par…Truly a “Don’t Miss.” course.

The views are amazing!
I had not played this course on the Big Island ( its former moniker ) and it was an hour drive (approx.) from Kailua-Kona but it was totally worth the drive. There isn't a restaurant so bring a snack, but you won't be thinking of food while you are experiencing the beautiful scenery and wildlife on site. Definitely a must play!

I Love this course! When I lived on the island, i would play it very regularly. Just the right amount of difficulty balanced with beautiful grounds. The signature 17th is always a favorite. Such a simply hole that plays with your psyche! Great course!
