Maintenance needed at entrance and clubhouse
When you first drive in it's like going into the twilight zone...a little scary at first look...roads in entry needs repair and so does the club house, but once you go in; the friendliness of the staff and golfers quickly makes up for that. Also, the course is not that bad, it is playable and taken care of as much as possible.
I believe that it is a nice place, and if you get to know the locals it is a pleasure. It is a inexpensive and great for those of us that live nearby.
Thanks for the staff's kindness
Oz
Got greener.
Well recent rains have greened up what grass is left.
Mowers must be broke. Seed pods sticking up everywhere. Rough is rough.
Worst Course in Hernando County
This golf course is in horrible shape. The tee boxes are trash, zero maintenance on the fairways or greens. The layout is good for beginners since its very wide. Fairways are basically sand traps with some grass around the ball, greens are crabgrass and sand.
It’s ok
Good place to go to hit the ball - the fairways at rough the rough is rougher lol- I like the pace of play and don’t even keep score . It’s a good place to practice the greens are bad but getting better and it’s a challenging lay out!
Sandy land
Very bad conditions on and off the course fairways like playing out of sand traps I pay 13 bucks and friend had to pay 35$ I felt bad and paid him 15$ needs lots of work
Fairways lacking grass. Greens smooth and puttable. No water coolers on course anymore. Used to be one cooler on front nine and one on the back nine but have been removed. Staff professional and friendly.
You get what you pay for
The title says it all, 10$ green fee is about all you get. Fairways are basically non existent, tee boxes rarely had grass and the greens are either dead or overgrown with crabgrass. The layout is really good and if it was taken care of it could be a good course.
Very cheap course
Very cheap course, ground conditions were not good at all but you get what you pay for. If course was in good condition it would be a very fun easy course just needs to be upkept and some renovations done.
Not good
Last few months some improvement seen but now it seems to be retrogressing.
Ken Venturi designed a hidden masterpiece, too bad it has come to this. Some TLC could turn it around in a couple of months. Fertilizer, pesticides, mowing, sand pro machine. What a waste of fantastic design. Used to drive from Palm Harbor to Oak Hill and the Dunes religiously,,Dunes is gone and Oak H is on the brink
