Worst course ever played
Not at all maintained. Staff unfriendly. They should keep cattle out there instead of golfers. Not worth the money
Fair course conditions
This is the worst conditions I've seen since I began playing this course 2 years ago, fairways very dry and sparse.
Twice in one day our clubs fell from the carts, it's happened before, I chipped a couple of my clubs and when we went to make a complain, the girl behind the counter literally told us we were wasting our time and she really didn't care. This is the worst public relations experience I've ever encountered at a golf course, will never return and will never recommend to anyone.
NEEDS COMPLETE UPGRADE
COURSE IN WORSE SHAPE IT HAS BEEN IN YEARS, IT IS FOR SALE I HOPE SOMEONE BUYS IT AND AT LEAST GET IT BACK IN PLAYABLE CONDITION. IT WILL BE AN ASSET TO THE AREA.
Review title?
They didnt know we had a ttime. The carts always die on course and they have sprinklers on all the tine during prime golf times like saturday mornings. Course is in rough shape especially on greens. Lots of dead brush and mud on fairways.
Stay away
Pretty terrible. Tee boxes - quite possibly the worst I've ever seen on a golf course. Fairways - you will literally be hitting out of the sand in the middle of a fairway. Rough - sand and more sand. I almost felt like popping open a beach chair. Greens - Inside greens were eh ok, outskirts and edge of green needs work. Not the worst I've seen but sub-par. The only good things I could think of: good layout(elevation changes) and did not see anyone else on the course. Bring food for yourself, they basically have nothing. Could be a good course but needs some $$$$ invested. Mmmmm rather not.
oak hills improving
the course is doing a good job of improving. the greens are now pretty good.
Needs some money spending
The course felt a little tired in places and could do with some work/money being spent. Overall this could be a very good course.
Good deal!
Good course for the money! Fairways need some attention, but playable.
Will play again!
Avoid at all costs
This place gives goat pastures a bad name. Give up the game before you play here. This course is terrible. They put a twosome out behind a fivesome. Don't expect to buy a hat if you need one b/c they don't sell hats. The guy in the hut that doubled as a pro shop / clubhouse was nice. Avoid this place at all costs.
Pleasant Course if You Can Keep it in the Fairways
The greens are maintained in generally very good shape on this course. The fairways are fairly well maintained, as well. However, a shot into the rough has a good chance of being played off dirt rather than grass. The clubhouse facilities are non-existent, but once you're on the course, it is a pleasant experience.
In poor condition.
In poor condition.looks like their going under.their spending no money on fertilizer .
No rushing golf
Play at your p[ace. No rushing. Played at noon. course was in good shape
Barely worth the $18
Mostly elevated greens were the slowest we've played in a long time. Tee boxes were crowned and rounded so much it was hard to find a level place to tee it up. Fairways were quite wide, but were spotty and quite bare if you weren't right down the middle. Course plays fairly long, with interesting elevation changes for a Florida course, and the course was relatively empty the morning we played, probably because it was cold and damp out. Would have been pretty unhappy if we had to pay more than the $18 Group Golfer special.
HAD A GREAT TIME
We got rained on and were on hole 10 - we were given a rain check for 9 holes - very fair.
Enjoyable course - looking forward to playing the back nine.
Course was Overbooked
The course was overbooked. They were trying to put me in the middle of a league which would have been ok with me, but you know how leagues can be, so they didn't have a place to put me. An hour of my life that I'll never get back. The only good part was they were nice about refunding my money.
Fun layout but is typical Florida tree lined course in subdivision setting
9:56am tee time w/ wife. There is clearing under trees so errant shots can be found & put back into play. Minimal bodies of water in play. Tee boxes are rounded & in sub par shape. Good amount of elevated tee shots to wide landing areas. Fairways are thin to sparse. Roughs are low & also sparse in many areas. Elevated greens are hairy & medium to slow paced. Sand traps in decent shape w/ good depth/thickness. Battery powered carts are very old: have windshield in front, nonfunctioning rain cover in back held up by yarn. Proshop is a trailer w/ bare minimal merchandise. Didn't even have logo caps. Normal prime time rate $28, which I would never pay. Thank goodness for the Group Golfer voucher of $18 which included range balls
Course is good for Ladies & Seniors
Evidently Golf Now is not synced with their computer. Myself & two other men did not show up as having a T-Time. I had to wait 1 Hr. beyond my start time. Please correct this problem. The clerk said this happens often. It was extremely inconvenient..
Golf mishaps
Lack of carts, probably because foursomes are going out with 3 carts a.m. Greens in good condition and fairways are fair, but in need of work, some areas with little to no fairway grass.
tough track
Course plays very long. Par 5's are all over 500 yards. You'll use every club I'm your bag during the round. My foursome teed off on time and never saw another group. Day was completely uninterrupted. Look forward to playing again.
Great value for the cost
Nice layout. Could use some distance adjust on tees. White tees play a little long for the average player. Overall condition was good, but greens were in above average condition.
