Very wet course
Course was very wet after all the rain in the area. A few downed trees but mainly poor drainage so lost a few balls in the middle of the fairway due to the muck. Fairways were not cut either so very long grass. Older carts for a muni course was very surprising (mine had ripped seat and saw that on quite a few of them)

Love Swenson Park, dislike new routing
This is one of my favorite municipal courses, I live in San Jose and frequently drive to Stockton to play here. The layout is gettable yet interesting, with plenty of length. The price is great, and the greens are usually in awesome condition.
One negative: I dislike the new routing, the final stretch of holes are now moved to the end of the front, so you start with a par 5 and then there are 3 par fives on the back. I’ve heard it’s to encourage people to go to the restaurant after the 10th hole, but it wrecks the flow of the original routing.
Picky I know, just hoping the course takes constructive critique well.
Nice course
The course doesn't have fancy extras. The fairways are what you expect with the wet weather, but the greens were in great condition, especially for January.

Perfect weather and fast pace.
Greens made good improvements but carts upholstery torn off but not repaired. Cart paths have huge potholes and fairways are bumpy. The pace of the play has improved a great deal since the last time, thanks to the marshals running the course constantly. No more eating on the tee boxes or shouting from unruly undeserving players. Thanks to Swenson golf management and please keep it up. We go to the golf course to enjoy the golf game and not to have a picnic or beer drinking party. If I want to have a picnic, I go to a park and, if I want to get drunk, I go to a bar.
The course was well maintained and taken a. good care. Keep up the good work. Finished the 18 holes in 3:05 hours for our twosome. When we were younger, we used to compete 18 holes in 2:20 hours. Totally enjoyed today.
