I am a 14 handicap and the course ate me for lunch. The greens were very fast which I personally like. However they were small and crowned making them hard to hold. That cost me many strokes. Great for short game warm up if you haven’t played in a while.
Nice Beginners Course
Not surprisingly, mostly beginners. Thus front 9 was very slow. Back 9 was quite a bit faster, so overall not terrible. This is the place to go if you're scared people will be critical of your ability. Also a good place to work on your irons. Very easy walk.
Everyone working there was extremely nice. You get what you pay for in the course. .
Fair Deal
Staff is totally great! Tee time was prompt. Flow of golfers were ok. Foursome jumped ahead of us on the back 9. Did wait a few holes, but it is snowbird prime time?
For the price this course is challenging, fun and fair enough. Will be back at present conditions. Thank you to "The Shores"!
Great for the short game.
Returning from the U.K. it’s a great little course to warm up and swing your clubs. Walkable if you want the exercise. Variable speeds on green and no bunkers but has other little hazards just to keep you on your toes!
A course that won’t take you all day too. Lovely .
Very nice course, reasonable cost
Nice course but slow play at times. One group in front of us was literally on the green for 15 minutes.
Nice course for the beginner and lady
6 par 3s and 12 par 4s make a great place to see if your can improve your skills.
Very Nice Course
Florida club is a wonderful public course. Always in top shop with plenty of tees to fit your swing. Big, undulating, moderately fast greens will test your reading skills. GPS in carts is very accurate and easy to use.
You'll enjoy the Florida Club for sure.
Shores of the Lake was nice for the beginning golfer.
Cart broke down was the only problem. Staff promptly replaced it.
Good course, tight hole to hole proximity, busy day
The Tuesday we played at 1030a was a very busy day. The course was in between seasons so the rough blended with the fairways. The holes are very close to each other so a tight course so don't draw or hook or you're in the other fairway...it was my son's 1st time on any course.
Staff was the most accommodating and friendly I've encountered.
DEFINITELY worth the money to play on a regular basis.
