Great course , great price
Got out and played here for the first time this Wednesday and I must say I was impressed ! Great layout , greens rolled true even in March , bunkers in great shape. All and all had a great winter round here and will be back for sure !
Early March and windy
Greens and tee boxes are in great shape. The fairways aren’t grown up yet, so some really tight lies.
Should be real nice in six weeks.
Overall rating
The course was in pretty good shape, considering it is February. They seem a bit understaffed, considering they knew that they had a bunch of golfers with tee times. The lady in the pro shop was also trying to get food and drinks for golfers. She was super friendly and busy. At the turn, however, the guy that took her place seemed like he did not want to be there and that he was doing us a favor getting us anything. We turned around 2 and he had nothing for us to eat. Overall, this is one of the best courses for the money.
needed to get outside!
I had not played this course in a long time just because there are courses closer to home but was so happy to have played there the weather was getting worst by the minute but considering the time of the year all of the fairways are dormant but at least you have something under your ball all of the bunkers were raked and ready to go not full of water like some other courses so if you just need to get out during these winter months and the weather cooperates this is the course.
Good course.
Best course in the winter. They seem to keep it in good shape despite the weather.
Great course but......
First off this was the first time I've played Spencer T and I loved the course. The only real issue I had was not being able to get ahold of anyone in the pro shop or the restaurant for over an hour when our cart died. So my playing partner had to walk back to the clubhouse to find another cart. I understand we are in winter but someone needs to be monitoring the phones for emergencies and problems when they are open.
Spencer T Olin
Beautiful course and layout.
I wasn’t ready for the speed and slope of greens, but I look forward to the change again.
A must play if in the area
Great course, except.....
Great course. Greens are nice and the fairways are well manicured. The only down side was the pace of play. Had a group of 4 not including the child, taking 15-20 minutes per swing. We decided to play through (hole 11) and things got intense. Oh, might I add, this is America... land of the free... As we’re on the next hole in front of this group, the alpha male of the group decides to approach us as I was about to destroy this ball. The man proceeds to confront us and then knocks our balls off our tees and tells us we cannot play through. Now keep this is mind... we’re 26 years old (fit) and he’s roughly, 50? (Unfit) Not today pal. Since this man clearly owns this course, we’re not having it. We continue playing, wishing this old man would come back, but does not. End of story.

Nice course. Well kept. Bar staff needs help. Pro shop is solid and fairly priced. Overall B+
Seeing Arnies name always cool.
In the top 2 on the East Side of St. Lou
I play this course often because it’s a great Palmer design and today it was in the best condition that I’ve seen it in a long time. It’s half the price as the next best course in the area, and in many ways, I like it better. The Zoizia fairways are plush and no houses to hit if you let one loose (lol). Greens are bent grass, large, easy to hit, and roll true, with fair amount of undulation to make it fun.
Great course
Course was in great shape, one of my favorites to play.
Overall decent course, but another Metro Least course with greens that look like moonscapes! When will the STL bumpkin learn to repair their ball marks?
ALWAYS A FUN LAYOUT
They were running 15 minutes behind due to a corporate outing so the clubhouse guy flipped me a couple tokens for range balls. Teed off at 4:30 and never saw any other golfers except for 2 longhitters on the 2nd hole that we let play thru. The number of people that don't fix their ball marks on greens has gotten ridiculous. Not just at public courses, freaking annoying.
Great Conditions - Super Fast Greens
Spencer T. Olin has the best and fastest greens in the area.
Overall, the conditioning of the course was superb. Only issue I saw was where some standing water had been in the fairway, you will see some brown spots and weeds. For the price of under $40 (seniors) on the weekend, no one beats this value with the layout and conditioning of this course.
