Spencer T. Olin Learning Center 9-hole Course

This course is a moderately challenging one that has a lot of doglegs and wide fairways. It is helpful to play with someone who has played it before so you can be aware of the hazards and know the best place to hit to for a good approach to the green. The greens are a little rough, but not bad for a public course.

Nice course! There's a couple AP designed courses in the area, this and the Den at Fox Creek. Pretty wide fairways on both. This really isn't tricked up at all, fair for sure. Hit a good shot and you get rewarded. Some par 4s you'll be using other than a driver. Love the zoysia fairways. Last 2 years this course has been in incredible shape.

I've played Spencer a lot over the years. I can't recall a single time when I was upset about the course. Its never in bad shape.

Today was no different. The fairways were full and cut. The rough was a little thinner than usual, but it was fine.

The greens on the other hand looked atrocious. It was very odd. They were green and soft, but they had horrible spike marks, ball marks, and small patches of dead grass everywhere. It was the worst I had ever seen them.

However, they rolled as true as could be. They were fast, like always, and held pretty well. It was very strange watching a ball roll over spike marks and never lose its rotation.

The course was awesome and I was extremely happy. The only complaint I have is that my bratwurst at the turn seemed to have been on the grill a few weeks too long lol. It was a great day. Well done Spence

This by far my favorite golf course in the area. Gets lots of play so sometimes greens suffer but a great layout.

New management is a bit over the top in trying to maximize profits. Absolutely refused to allow me to cancel my reservation even though a tournament rained out the previous day and rescheduled to impact my start time had slowed the pace of play down to a crawling 2 hours 45 min. on the first 9.

I gave only a fair rating due to attitude of manager on duty that day.

Only time in years of GolfNow reservations I have ever been denied a cancelation

Course design rewards good shots and greens were challenging although somewhat beat up. Very good conditions overall.

Possibly booked too many players. It is nice to play ready ready golf. We had to wait almost every shot - hard to get in a groove. 5 some scramble in front of us- still slow

Although 1 hour driving from my home, it is worth trying . Many dog lag holes, few flat fairway holes and some blind greens are a little bit challenging. for the first time player like me.
The course is very beautiful! I definitely play many many more.

Would play again. Good value! Course was in excellent condition and staff was friendly.

The golf course is beautiful. The fairways were well manicured, greens well kept. Staff at Pro Shop were very friendly and accommodating. The food service was good and food was tasty. I drove from Rolla, Mo, which is about a 2 hour drive and well worth it. I would recommend this course as a must play. I will definitely play this course again. The only problem was that the heat index was 101 degrees.

Tees and fairways were excellent.The greens were not receptive,they were hard. I was hitting 70 yard lobs into the green and the ball was bouncing when it hit.

Had a great day even though we had to stay on the cart path I would definatly play again

It's challenging to the mind and body of the golfer. A beautiful place to play.

Upon arriving there was a torrential down pour. We were 35 minutes late in teeing off. By the back nine the course had drained a pretty good amount. To a man the foursome was quite impressed by the drainage system after the amount of rain that hit the course.

For the money, it's the best value in the STL area

The inside of the clubhouse has been redone since I last played here - nicely done. The course was in great shape except for the greens. The greens had some weed spots and lots of unrepaired ball marks. I played after a tournament so those players should have done a better job on the greens I guess. Great value with the Golfnow rate and I'll definitely play there again soon.

I had not played here for a while, due to course conditions a couple of years ago. WELL THEY HAVE THE COUSE IN THE VERY BEST SHAPE for years! I would Highly recommend you play it NOW! Greens were Very Fast and with little exception, very smooth. Fairways were Almost perfect and the Rough was Cut as it should be! They have Truly spent some time and money to get the Arnold Palmer Designed Course back to Tournament Quality! I'm playing it again tomorrow!

I really enjoy this course. Excellent layout and nice greens. We've had several days of heavy rain so the course was wet (cart path only), but it didn't affect the play. Fairways were soft and spongy wet with no carry. Greens were in great shape and wet, but not spongy. They held all my approach shots and rolled true. The staff were friendly and I look forward to playing here again soon, albeit in a little drier conditions.

first time playing there this year, but have played the course several times over the last two years. In great shape! And breakfast and lunch were included with our teatime booking, that was a very pleasant surprise! Will play again!

Went super early before work and got a free breakfast and lunch voucher, which was pretty nice.

This is a very challenging course from the back tees, We played the middle tees and still were challenged plenty.

This course is definitely worth the drive from St. Louis.
