Nice track - red/white
Pretty nice layout on the red/white. There is a 3rd 9 hole course that I haven't played. In good shape considering all the recent rain. Greens needed attention though as there many spike and ball marks making putting a little challenging!
Good shape, no forced carries
Just a very good value.
Nothing really spectacular, just a good course at a good price.
Pace could be improved somewhat, but I'm a 3.5 hr. round type player.
Very nice course.
The course is well manicured and the greens are great. Good challenge.
The Links
Always a Sporty Course ! You may need an extra sleeve of balls, a ball retriever and a good sand wedge !!! BTW, you can reach the water on the left of #1 off the Tee ! JS
Carillon is always a Fun Course !!! All 3 Courses !
Red White
The usual for a weekend at Carillon. Excellent conditions (except for the wind), excellent staff, rather slow pace. It's worth it however. Will be back soon.
Wonderful experience
Everyone, from the gentleman manning the security gate to the girl in the halfway house, could not have been nicer and more pleasant. Great pace of play, excellent greens. I'll be back
Nice course
Nice course I will being playing there again.
Carillon
Course is in great shape, greens were fast so be prepared. Sand was for the most part in good shape with a couple of exceptions due to recent rain.
Highly recommend this course, there are some holes that will challenge even the best handicappers.
Golf in November
Pretty good condition for so late in the season. Greens weren't perfect but very playable. Staff friendly and accommodating.
Perfect day
It was a perfect day, no delays course was in great shape, I will this course again soon .
Always great value for a quality course
This is among my favorite courses in all of Chicagoland. It's a good blend of value & challenge.
Good times
Great staff and great condition!!!!!!÷ would golf there every day!!!!
Great condition .. Took too long
We played at 115 on a Friday.. We are all decent golfers, but the pace was slow. Ranger did not move things along fast enough. This course is short enough to play in 4 hours.. The 4 somes ahead of us were not bad.. Just too slow.. Pick it up rangers course was in fantastic condition
Great course with challenges!!
I love this links course and the design.
It is not super long but just adequate for a wide range of golfers.
Water hazards and bunkers through out the course make it more challenging and keep your interest in this course.
Three difeerent tees and super friendly staffs make me wanna revisit them again.
Overall very good for the money.
best score of the year
I was hitting the ball really well and shot my best on this day a 74 with hitting 13 greens and having 3 birdies one of which was almost in the hole. This was the best afternoon of my life knowing I could play some scratch golf and finally hitting the ball like I know I could. Gotta keep working on it to be consistently around par all the time and be scratch plus which just comes from ball striking when you hit a lot of greens then you will score well.
Nice course layout
Nice challenging course layout. Had some pretty difficult holes as well as some nice wide fairways. Nice to play for all skill levels.Good combination of water holes and challenging bunkers.Course was overall in pretty good condition. I would definitely play here again.
Great course for the value
The overall course was beautiful and the condition was excellent. Greens were very consistent, and the course was well kept.
Very nice Facility but has Pace of play issue
I have played this course over the years and it has always been in great shape and fun to play but the pace of play is an issue. They pump one group out after another as soon as the fairway clears on the first hole. This course would do themselves a huge favor by going to 10 min tees times and have the ranger do more then just ride around.
Decent course
The course was in good condition considering the recent weather. I did not like the bunkers. There is very little sand. It plays almost like hardpan. The pace of play slowed on the back side; but, was tolerable.
Thanks Mike for playing The Links. Every 10 minutes is a great idea and I would love to do that. Unfortunately the reason almost no courses do that is the loss of thousands and thousands of dollars each month by eliminating tee times per hour thus driving courses out of business. 8 minute tee times has been a standard for years across the country and is proven to be the right amount of gap if all goes well on the course. We take pace very seriously here at The Links and hopefully our rangers were on their way to address any issues. Thank you for your input and we will definitely work harder to make your round here more enjoyable.
