Foxford Hills Golf Club

Read my review of 8/27/17 for further info. Pace of play was completely unacceptable yesterday. Teed off just after 11 waited on every tee box and shot. Took almost 40 minutes to play the 1st two holes. Two groups waiting to tee off on the par 3 13th. Ridiculous. We were dealt a really bad hand having to play behind two guys with their gals. Neither of the gals had any business being on a course of this length and caliber. Extremely hard to watch complete whiffs and their divots not even being replaced. Raking a sand trap? Forget that! 3 times one of these gals shanked and hit their golf cart. Come on. Was told in the pro shop that the course was in top notch shape. Not even close. Sand traps were completely hit and miss some mud and some with water in them. Greens pockmarked by old ball marks and many ball marks not repaired.....had to repair marks in my line at least 6 times..Some greens were recently aerated and sanded. On the first green one of my playing partners 20 foot putt took about 5 hops. Overall course conditions are okay but not as fantastic as several other reviewers seem to think. I love the track/routing but the issues and especially of the pace of play are completely unacceptable. Don't bother to play this place on weekends or a full tee sheet it's simply not worth the 60 or so they get. Course is a 35-40 value at most. Bring a boom box, cheese nips and cooler to party away because you'll be standing around a lot watching people of have no business being on a golf course tearing it up and not taking care of it.

It took more rhan 5 hours to play 18 holes , almost every hole, we had to wait to make tee shot. No wayer in the course, that made us unhappy.

This course offers a nice variety with some tight fairways and some wider, some long holes and some short and some large greens and some small. Course condition was generally excellant in spite of rainy day and some earlier heavy play due to HS team tryouts being held there. Traps could use a little more sand, but that's being picky. Greens were fast and difficult to read. It all added up to a fun and enjoyable experience.

Haven’t played here in awhile.. I don’t know why. This is a great course. Great layout. Great condition (especially since it’s been a super dry July).

The course was in great condition and a pleasure to play. The pace of play was good and we only waited on two holes. The greens are in excellent condition and were pretty fast. Overall an excellent course and we will definitely be playing again.

The front nine were freshly sanded. Greens slow and unpredictable. Not fun.

This is a very good golf course with a very good routing and variety of holes. But there were bunkers, both greenside and in the fairway, that were in terrible condition. Mud and stones were evident in a number of bunkers and many had obviously not been properly prepared for a number of days. There were many divots in the fairways on a number of holes that had not been filled with any sand or an insufficient quantity of sand. The green speeds were unusually slow for this course. There is no one to help you at the bag drop. You just grab a cart and load your clubs.

It rained for 3 days and the course had 90 degree rule on 6/23, I’m sure most of the courses in Chicagoland were cart path only. No drenched spots. Greens were good for the amount of rain fall

Great place...very friendly, doubt you'll find a more scenic course in this neck of the woods!! Everyone is always super friendly.

Great challenging/ fun course, all of staff very nice . Teed off 15 minutes late not a big deal, but they told us to go up to tee box and tee off 10 minutes early. Really pack golfers in unfortunately.
