Heritage Hill Golf Club

Being from Shepherdsville where this course is located, I am partial to having a course this nice within 10 minutes from my house.

The course is ALWAYS in super shape, especially as heavy as it gets played, and the staff are always welcoming and friendly. The layout is superb and can be challenging yet fun at the same time. Many holes give you very generous landing zones, but on those same holes, well placed shots will give you a much better opportunity for a better score.

If you are looking for a country club style course for a lot less money, this is the course for you. Also they just got new carts which have USB chargers on them for those with the need to use their phones/devices throughout the round.

Some scenic and unique holes, particularly on the back 9. Good variety - downhill, uphill, short, long. Very generous fairway widths but bunkering by greens is well-positioned. Greens are decent shape and speed and they have enough contour and size to make pin placements a factor. Course was in good shape considering it was the Nov. 1. I would definitely play here again.

My friends have been telling me for a long time that "you have to play Heritage Hill." Well, I finally got around to it and I'm happy that I did. VERY nice course and fun to play. Great condition and the greens are pretty fast.

So now I'll tell you the same thing that I've been told: You've gotta play Heritage Hill.

Excellent course, best public course in KY. Course was in excellent condition, especially for late October. The staff is great and the driving range is nice. I will undoubtedly play the course again.

When arriving off of I-65 make sure you go past the Heritage Hills community entrance on the left, and take the next left turn. Follow this road straight into the parking lot. You drive up to the course and it looks as if you're going to an old farm home which is directly in front of you. The road bends to the left and you enter into the parking lot and you say, "This is it". Then you hit the first tee and from there its truly a visual explosion of beauty. The layout from the Blue tees has you hitting from several elevated tee boxes which suits the eye and adds to the experience. The greens were just airated a couple days prior to us playing but I could tell these greens were receptive and well maintained when in mid season shape. Fairways wide in the right places and in good shape, traps could use some work by that I mean there was not one trap that was raked for play that day but the sand was decent to play out of which I was in a few times. My bride played the Red tees and played at 5200 yards. Her normal drives are 140 to 150 yards and the course was perfect from that distance for her. Blue tees were 6700, I shot a 81 not bad for not knowing the course but it played long. If your drives are under 250 I would suggest the tees from 6200 yards. Over all I would play this course anytime and rate it very high as a MUST PLAY! For the dollar its as good as it gets. I hope this helps and hope you find the course in the same condition when you play. This course is now on our radar anytime we head to Nashville.

Heritage Hill is the best course I have played in many years and definitely the best in the central Kentucky area. The views from most of the tee boxes is postcard worthy, the fairways were like carpet and not a weed in the rough. There's a lot of well placed bunkers (which could have used some more sand) but that's my only complaint. The greens were in phenomenal shape and some were tricky to read.

The clubhouse was not as extravagant as the course but it serves its purpose. I'm glad they spend their money on the course and not a fancy clubhouse.

Overall, I was thoroughly impressed and look forward to playing Heritage Hill again in the near future.

Well above average for a public course. Fun layout with a mix of easier and harder holes, elevation changes, open and narrow fairways. Turf almost always in great shape. Nice driving range, decent bar and snack shop. Definitely worth the short drive from Louisville!

I very much enjoyed this course and will visit again next time I'm in the area.

Quite a challenge for a first time - fast greens - many elevation changes and rock outcroppings.

Course was in great shape and well maintained. Played later afternoon and it is amazing that players don't fix ball marks on the greens! Not the facilities fault. Great course and great value.

This is one of better courses near Louisville. Now in great condition and is a nice challenge for an advanced golfer (I'm a 11 HDC). Staff are very accommodating and friendly. Front 9 has three par 3s and three par 5s so you can get off to a good start.

This course is by far in the best condition of any course in or around Louisville besides Valhalla. Beautiful striped fairways and tee boxes and the greens are short and fast and in great condition. Its awesome that they drive a cart to your car and load your clubs for you when you arrive like your a member of an expensive country club or something. I will definitely be back again and would recommend to anyone !

This is a great track. Homes only on second nine. Paired up with nice couple. Conditions overall very good but please, please fix your ball marks people. Rental clubs were horrible.

Course is always in good shape and the pace of play is great.

Course was a little wet, carts on the path. This course has a great layout! Always enjoy playing here.

One of the nicest course I have played, each hole has features unique to itself, the fairways and greens are beautiful and the scenery on and around the course is very nice. Lots of bunkers on the fairways and around the greens, sand was mostly hard and packed down.

Very nice track. . The course was everything I was hearing about. The layout was good and fairways very good. Front nine had few greens rough with bumps and not rolling true. Bunkers need more sand, but like. Course I have played this year
