Very scenic. Best collection of par 3's in the area!
Course was in excellent condition the day my group played. Tee time was 8:40am. We played from the 6300yd. white tees. Tee boxes were all nice and level. Fairways landing areas were generous. Fairway bunkers mostly directional from the whites. Nice tight lies to hit from. Green side bunkers are in play on most every hole. Bunkers were in good raked condition to play from. Greens seems a little slow today it seemed but rolled smoothly. Nice routing and use of the property. Very good practice area to warm up on.
Louisville's Best Public Course
This is THE best public course in the Louisville area. The layout is nothing short of spectacular and you just can't beat zoysia fairways. It's also one of the few places that will bring the cart to you in the parking lot. Just a great staff all around. Heritage Hill's only downside is that some people don't know how to fix their ball marks. I don't know if they don't know how to, or just refuse to because they don't understand simple course etiquette. This usually doesn't affect the roll, just makes the greens look bad (and ticks me off).
course has great features
Beautiful layout. Every hole is different. Played every club in bag. Love the course but greens are always slow. Hard to score when you have to give putts extra effort.
Great Layout, Greens Need Attention
I was making a trip and needed to kill a few hours and decided to do so in the Louisville area. I chose the course based on past ratings, info, etc.
I very much enjoyed the layout and aesthetic appeal of the course. The tee stations, rough, and fairways were in pristine condition. The greens, on the other hand, could use some much-needed attention. They were pretty darn slow for how well everything else was maintained, and they were covered with ball marks making it hard to hold a true line.
Honestly, if they were to bring in new greens and kept them maintained very well, they could host some great tournaments.
Good value @$40, not $60
Course condition and layout great except greens. Greens soft overgrown and bumpy. Tough pin position on almost all holes.
Par 5's very long. A good challenge.
great deal
Well-maintained, beautiful greens, all sprinkler heads yardage-marked. Nice driving range with all kinds of targets. This course has it all. Definitely the best course that I have played around Louisville. They had a tournament in the morning, so there was hardly anyone on the course after it finished. What a way to spend a Saturday afternoon for only $20 through GolfNow!
Beautiful, but needed some attention
I love the layout, but the greens were in the worst condition that I have ever seen them here. Shaggy would be a compliment, I don't know when they last mowed but it seemed like multiple days. There were fairways tighter that day. The greens were also heavily postmarked and bunkers were not raked. I think most of my complaints are not the clubs fault but their guests. Staff were really nice and friendly. Would love to seemthengreens roll well
Great great course
In the 3 months I have been in the Louisville area, I have played 20 different courses and Heritage Hill is absolutely the best. While I will continue to play many other area courses, I am sure I will play Heritage Hill at least 2-3 times each month. Most
Par 3's & 5's TOUGH
course was in excellent shape and very challenging from the white tees for a 20 handicap.
Excellent course
Well maintained, very scenic, challenging. Great value on Golfnow.
Great Course Layout
Heritage Hills was in very good condition. The only thing keeping it for being pristine by my standards were a few un-repaired ball marks on the greens. The course is challenging without overwhelming me with its' distance. Will be back with my A-game sometime soon.
One of Louisville's Finest
Great value, very scenic, great fairways/good greens, and an above average challenge relative to other local public courses. You won't be dissapointed.
wide open..no broken windows here
great day, on our 1st visit..loved the course..very good sand traps, plenty of small hills & small valleys..nice fairways with moderate tree lining, 2to3 ft. grass outlines boundaries..greens were above average, with fans and water at often locations...cant wait to play again
Great course, but pretty tough from black tees.
Two in my group and we were finished in 3 hours and 20 minutes Course was in excellent shape. Had rained heavily the morning before, but only #10 was cart path only . Why is # 12 so hard to par???
Very good course.
Great course. Great layout. Course Conditions not given "Pristine" rating this round due to green condition. Previous/past rounds greens' conditions much better & faster.
Great experience!
The course was in great shape. I like the concrete cart paths throughout, and the complimentary tees and ball/club washer on the cart. The course was very challenging with a number of bunkers in almost every fairway and a variety of elevation changes. Hitting out of bounds will almost always result in a lost ball with woods and deep rough throughout. This course is definitely not for the novice!
Surprisingly Elevated!
This course seemed wide open when you first start, yet has some interesting surprises such as the three elevated tee boxes(including #18 which is a great way to finish a round)!
Also, the wooded setting and sand traps strategically placed creates a more challenging round for the right-handed slicers like myself. Overall, a great round and well worth the drive. I will definitely be back and bringing my friends.
Great track, beautiful layout
First time at Heritage Hill and enjoyed it tremendously. The course is very playable and has a number of beautiful golf holes. The layout has lots of character using the natural lay of the land. The only negative was the greens were very slow. Otherwise it was a great course.
It was nice, but I expected more!!
The the tee boxes, and fairways were in (pristine shape). But the bunkers were below avg. condition, and the greens were slow.
I can see why a lot players love this course. But I would expected management to keep bunkers in better shape, and the greens to roll a lot better!!
Course is in good shape
The course is not in as the best shape I have seen it however still much better than most of the courses in the area.
