Great Round!
Really enjoyed my round. The Golfnow cost was really a good value for this course.
This course needs help every where possible.
Was not impressed at all for what they charge. The staff was short handed. The course maintenance was terrible. Bunkers are washed out with no sand. Took forever at the turn to pick up food.
Great layout
This course is a hidden gem. It is many coures in one depending which tee you play from. I would recommend this course to all my playing friends.
Beautiful course
One of my favorite courses.
Greens are smooth and fast but roll true.
Ample fairways but trouble if you miss them.
Plenty of elevation changes with spectacular views.
Wide concrete cart paths throughout.
Very picturesque course
Probably my favorite course to play in the Louisville region. Very well maintained greens, bunkers, cart paths and ponds. Fairways have some issues with clover unlike at other times I have played. Some holes are very surprising and fun based on their topography. Many hills and valleys. Walking is not allowed because of some long distances between holes. Truly a delight to play.
Great course with excellent risk / reward and balance for long shots and target shots.
Excellent course with great balance of holes for big hitters and target golfers. Greens a little soft but mostly even and consistent. One of the nicest courses in the area.
Great condition
Would play this course again. Fairways and greens in good condition. Back side had water hazards and is tighter than the front.
Excellent Course!
The course is about 20 miles south of Louisville Metro. I found it by searching for best courses in the area on Google. Played from the white tees, nearly all of the par 5's are reachable in 2 with quality shots.
One drawback, for me, about this course is that there are several tee shots (on both par 3's and par 4's) from significantly elevated tees. I just don't love those, although I must admit that they were beautiful views.
Greens rolled true. Putts were straighter than they looked. Not a lot of putts needed to be played outside the cup.
I'll play here again...
Still drying stuff out
Rained like crazy got 11 holes in before you couldn't Putt
great layout
Great layout of a links style course. A challenging but fair test. Fairways and traps were in better than average condition. Greens below average because of time of year, but I have played course when in better shape.
Great course! Very well kept.
This course offers several challenging holes while having both links style and traditional holes. It is very well maintained and a pleasure to play.
Great course
Course was in great shape and the design was challenging but simple. People were accommodating and genuine. If I lived in the area I would play here all the time.
the course rates with some of the most challenging courses I've played
I had heard a lot about the course and finally got the chance to play, unfortunately it had rained for two days prior to my tee time. Love the layout greens were slower than I would like, carts on the path that day course of course played longer. Would like to play it on a more favorable day. I'll be back!
Great course. Great people.
Love the course. Very open. No two holes beside each other. It is a challenge from the longer tees. Especially the the par 3's. It's a beautiful course, very scenic. Concrete cart paths thoughout. Big greens with plenty of undulation. The only thing I wasn't thrilled with was that the greens were kind of hairy and slow. It's a little pricey unless you find a good deal on Golf Now,but I look forward to going back.
great place to play
LOVE PLAYING THIS COURSE WHEN I CAN GET A GOOD DEAI,NORMAL PRICE FOR THIS COURSE IS TO HIGH FOR THE AVERAGE GOLFERS,WOULD LOVE TO PLAY IT MORE OFTEN,BUT A VERY NICE COURSE.
pristine course
This course is great, in great shape, very nice character, anyone looking to play for first time it is worth the money
Very scenic. Best collection of par 3's in the area!
Course was in excellent condition the day my group played. Tee time was 8:40am. We played from the 6300yd. white tees. Tee boxes were all nice and level. Fairways landing areas were generous. Fairway bunkers mostly directional from the whites. Nice tight lies to hit from. Green side bunkers are in play on most every hole. Bunkers were in good raked condition to play from. Greens seems a little slow today it seemed but rolled smoothly. Nice routing and use of the property. Very good practice area to warm up on.
Louisville's Best Public Course
This is THE best public course in the Louisville area. The layout is nothing short of spectacular and you just can't beat zoysia fairways. It's also one of the few places that will bring the cart to you in the parking lot. Just a great staff all around. Heritage Hill's only downside is that some people don't know how to fix their ball marks. I don't know if they don't know how to, or just refuse to because they don't understand simple course etiquette. This usually doesn't affect the roll, just makes the greens look bad (and ticks me off).
course has great features
Beautiful layout. Every hole is different. Played every club in bag. Love the course but greens are always slow. Hard to score when you have to give putts extra effort.
Great Layout, Greens Need Attention
I was making a trip and needed to kill a few hours and decided to do so in the Louisville area. I chose the course based on past ratings, info, etc.
I very much enjoyed the layout and aesthetic appeal of the course. The tee stations, rough, and fairways were in pristine condition. The greens, on the other hand, could use some much-needed attention. They were pretty darn slow for how well everything else was maintained, and they were covered with ball marks making it hard to hold a true line.
Honestly, if they were to bring in new greens and kept them maintained very well, they could host some great tournaments.
