White Clay Creek Country Club at Delaware Park
About
White Clay Creek Country Club at Delaware Park is a challenging but playable layout that is well known amongst locals. At just over 7,000 yards, the golf course offers a fair amount of challenges. Water hazards come into play on most holes, demanding several difficult forced carries. There are also some spots on the course that can be quite narrow. The terrain is mostly flat but the layout provides enough diversity to appeal to both low and high handicappers. White Clay Creek has a strong reputation not only for the golf course but also for its various amenities, which give it the feel of a private club. Staff assists you with getting your clubs to and from your car and use of the driving range and chipping green are included in the reasonable fee.

Great Course
The back nine plays very different from the front, in the front you can bomb away, need more precision on the back. If you can adjust to that, you can play the back as good as you can play the front. Ranger was a little pushy, didn't bother us about pace of play, but hung around a little to long making us uncomfortable, other than that, it a scenic course, and a great place to play.
not for high handicappers, a challenge but stunningly beautiful
Take advantage of the well maintained practice facility because you certainly will need to warm up for this track. Cut through the woods, complete with rivers, thick forest, long forced carries, difficult bunkers, it doesnt get any more challenging than this course. Many elevated greens and slick greens make it very hard to hold greens or even hit them at all, let alone get it close to pin. Greens are near perfect condition though. If you go in not worrying about how high you are going to score than you will love your day at this course because its the most naturally beautiful course ive played. the Black tees are 6400 but play like a 68-6900, highly recommend the white tees ..certainly no courses like this in my hometown Orlando fla
Nice Course
Course was in great shape greens rolled true and fast would play it again. It was great day for me as I got my first hole in one on number 13 184 yard par 3 with a 7 iron a day I will never forget!!!!!
Must Play
The course is well maintained, it is a must play golf course! The greens where outstanding! I was in Pawley's Island in April and the greens at White Clay were as good as any on the island.
White Clay Creek
One of the few courses that gives you range balls with your round. Practice facility is fantastic so get there early to get a few swings in before your round. Course is in great condition, and very challenging around the greens. Pace of play was good, rangers do their part to keep things moving. Overall great round
Wet!!!!
If it has rained within the last week don't play this course! It gets wet and stays wet! Probably a great course to play during a drought.
Our apologies for the wet conditions of the course when you played kardplayer11. Please contact me directly for more information at whiteclaycreekrm@gmail.com We would love for you to come back and see how great our course really is!
This course was public golf at its finest
First time here and was able to get on for 48$ at 3 but after playing it I would have paid 60. Great conditions, tough holes and very true greens. I will be back here.
Awesome, as usual!
If you like a very challenging course & super fast greens like I do, then this is it! Booked with Golfnow for some great savings.
Cart Path ONLY
Great course, but never not worth the play when CARTPATH ONLY ... Trust me, if CARTHPATH only get your money back!
Nice course
I played for the first time. Played longer than numbers on the card. Play it forward...
Ranger shouldn't allow people jumping holes.
Green fees through GolfNow was unbelievable.
I wish they didn't turn on the wind machine when I played.
Staff was friendly from the pro shop to the attendants.
ranger needed to speed up players
course had some water issues, forcing cart path on some holes and changing par 5 to a par 3. All and all nice course for the money. Pace of play was slow, mainly becasue 4some ahead thought they were qualifing for the tour. (which they were not)
Great Course
The one thing I love about this course is it will make you play your best golf. No lace to pretend!!!!
Very nice course
This was my first time playing White Clay Creek. Thought it was expensive when booking, but quickly found out it was worth it. Course was an perfect condition. I really enjoyed playing here and will definitely be playing here again.
Great course
Great course, but ranger shouldn't let a twosome jump holes. Screwed up our pace of play
Delawares best public golf course
There a several holes right now that are cart path only,,The par 5 8th is temporarily a par 3..There was 4inches of rain about a week ago...its the only reason I gave 3 stars for coditions..usually this course is immaculate...This is a course u cant walk..the layout doesn't bring u back to the clubhouse till ur at 18..The par 5 3rd is literally a almost a 3 min ride to the tee box from the 2nd green..
Great layout in great shape
Great layout at White Clay which is one of the best course for the money in a 60 mile radius. Choose the tees wisely, especially in the wind. You will use every club in your bag, from layup par 4's to 540 yes par 5's (which I eagled! thanks wind) Super friendly staff; from the clubhouse to the player assistant. Great practice facilities so arrive early to hone your game. I will be back!
JD- Congrats on the eagle. Thanks for the kind words, hope to see you next week!
amazing. find
Cconditions fantastic. for early season--great layout and staff phenomenol! Will definitely be back
Can take a while
My biggest piece of advice for anyone would be to tee it forward. From the 6500 tees it plays much farther, and even from the 5900 tees it can play long. The creek goes through many of the holes and you are forced into long carries on some shots and short layups on others.
I played in 5 hours, way too long, rangers did nothing to push any groups.
Course is very nice and tough, challenging holes and nice variety. GPS on the cart helps, but i snot perfect, same for the yardage book. I like the course and will play again at some point, but not a must play for me.
Thanks SFRE50- love the comment about tee it forward and we agree. Look forward to seeing you again.
Pace of play slow
Went out as a pair and caught the group ahead of us ,who kindly let us play through. But after that the pace of play was incredibly slow for a Monday afternoon. The group in front of us was terribly slow and the ranger did nothing to hurry the process, Two of the group were dressed in T-shirts! This course gets a lot of acclaim, but if you can't dress appropriately and can barely hit a golf ball, this course is NOT for you!!!And these type of golfers shouldn't be allowed on the course. Staff was very friendly and facilities are top notch.
Appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. We think our course is for everyone and we'll continue to work to help speed pace of play. We want to help grow the game.
Just Aerated Greens
Little disappointed as the greens had been aerated. There wasn't a aeration marker on the Golf Now icon so obviously I wasn't expecting sand to blow like a crater when hitting the greens. However, the rest of the course was in pretty good shape. Still pretty wet, as would be expected. I would definitely wait a couple more weeks (as of 4/3).
Great to hear you had such a good experience playing our course on your vacation. We hope to see you back at White Clay Creek CC next time you visit golfindead!
