Heron Glen Golf Course

I was checking Golf Now on Thursday evening for an open spot for a single early on Friday and came across Heron Glen - and I am so happy that I did. I played the white/gold tees and it was a fair test of my game (I am 62 and an 11.4 from the senior tees). The course was in great shape and the staff as friendly and cordial and helpful as can be. I will definitely be returning for future rounds.

It gives CC feel immediately. Driving range and practice areas are nice to loosen up. Everyone who works there was super friendly. The cart guys and the starter you can tell were genuinely good people. The course hits different than others. It’s hard. The sand and rough is really nice everywhere to hit from. The greens are amazing and tough. I’ll go back sometime definitely.

Can’t say enough about how good this course is. Plays long and is a challenge but everything about is fantastic. Plus a great value.

Greens were aerated, which means they were only twice as pure as your local muni instead of 3 times as pure. Staff is always great and because of the aeration we got free lunch, kinda like winning the lottery twice. The only problem is the course isn’t next to my house.

Friendly staff and beautiful course with a great layout. It was aerated but the greens still played true and they offered a free lunch! Fantastic all around.

Had a phenomenal time. My favorite public course in New Jersey. Nicest people. Wind wasn’t too bad so it was a beautiful round.
