Capri Isles Golf Club

Had a friend in from out of town who wanted to play a round. I live in Venice and have never played here. Great availability, pricing, course and overall a great experience. Would recommend and play again for certain

Second time playing here. Actually got out 10 minutes early?? Not good for me as I arrived at 2:05. No expectations except anticipated long pace of play, which did not happen today. 👍🏼 Fairways dried out, grass was somewhat limited, bunkers some very dirt-like, BUT the greens were pretty true with hidden breaks. The greens saved this course from a worse review. Just wish players wouldn't drag cleats around the hole!

Greens were fast and pace of play was good. Fairways were too short and grass was really thin in some areas, which could be due to time of year.

The condition of this course is just average. Some sparse areas on the fairways, the greens are fully covered and pretty slick. That's a plus.

Our issue was the pace of play. There was a fivesome in front of us which caused us to wait on almost every shot. On hole 13 we saw a marshal and questioned about the fivesome. He said it was a group of employees; ugh!!! We only got 16 holes in, because the marshal said we had to return the carts by 6 PM.

We were looking forward to playing. Staff was nice and engaging. Went off the back 9. Not sure why as the front tees were wide open. The 10 th tee box was backed up with several groups. The rest is history as it took us. 3 hrs for the front 9. The worst part was we were told we had to have the carts back at 5:45. No excuses. Well , since we only played half the holes and you want the carts back, maybe it should be half the price?

Having played Calusa Lakes several days earlier, we were rather disappointed with Capri Isles. The back 9 were much more scenic than the front, but overall it was not worth the money that was charged.

Fun course and great staff! Play it a few times a month.

The course was in the best condition I’ve ever seen. I try to snag a couple rounds at capri while visiting throughout the year and I think it’s solid track. Now it looks like they’re throwing money back into this course and it showed on every hole. Greens and fairways are fantastic and the tee boxes show a lot of improvement. I was fortunate enough to get paired with an amazing group of golf now guys that all knew each other and were a great time.

Monster shout out to the starter Michael! He saw a group in front of us struggling to get off the first tee box and cut them off after the third guy shot, and asked if they could go behind us. Mikes an absolute stud and I appreciated the great 3 hour round today.
