I live within walking distance of JWCC and have always known it was there—in fact, I walk past it almost every night after the kids go to bed. I’d been curious about the course and wanting to play it for quite a while, and I’m so glad I finally did.

I’m not sure exactly what I expected, but JWCC absolutely surpassed my expectations. The entire property is beautifully maintained, and once you’re out on the course, it almost feels like you’re not in Venice anymore—as strange as that may sound. It’s a wonderful little escape, and I’ll definitely be back.

The only negative I can think of is that neither the scorecard nor the hole signs include a layout of each hole. For someone playing the course for the first time, that would be a helpful addition.

From pulling up to the clubhouse and the bag man taking my clubs directly to the cart, to the same man wiping my clubs after finishing. Every person I encountered had a smile on their face and wanting to know how they could help me. The ultimate country club experience.

This was my second time to play here which allowed me to appreciate all that is offered there. The staff is a real differentiator making this a wonderful place to play.

First of all, the staff interactions I had were great. Very friendly and good people there. The course was decent, but not above average. Greens were punched in the last few weeks and still recovering, but many were also bumpy and had some bad spots. Kinda hard to play on at least 4 or 5 of them. Tee boxes were OK. Some were in fair shape, some were in kinda rough shape and some were decent. Fairways were pretty good. Over all I would say just a little bit higher than middle of the pack. The day we played, there we not many people playing so it was really nice in that respect. Two of us played 18 in 3:20 with no waiting at all and we took our time. That was really nice.

Everyone was very helpful from beginning to end. Course lays out nicely, good challenges. Good tee placements.

The golf course was in great shape. This is a place everyone should try. You will not be disappointed. The only thing we had problem with was we had five ladies in front of us making the round slower. Behind us we had two younger golfers hitting into us on half of the holes. Needed a ranger out on the course. Love the golf course
