Continental Country Club

Greens were in good condition as were the bunkers but the fairways were not great. I wouldn't try hitting a 3 wood as the ball didn't sit up well in the sparse grass. Two shot gun starts so if you want a tee time other than 8:30 or 1 you are out of luck. Power lines run through the course and many of the holes are similar, mostly dog legs.

Course is an old style Florida course with a nice variety of holes and levels of difficulty. Appears they are working hard at improving course conditions. Certainly well worth the money we spent to play.

Course conditions were very good with fast greens. It would be nice to see a fourth set of tees added as now the senior(gold) are the same position as the ladies(red)

If I played from the back tees, a lot more challenge would have been encountered. There is a bit of water and some of the fairways can be trouble with trees lining the fairways. Pace of play was fine - greens were really quite nice. Re-seeding started Oct 19 so think I will wait a bit before I return but was a very enjoyable round. Plenty of wildlife on the course for those who enjoy that.

Love playing this course for the variety. There will be a hole to reward you for accuracy, length or thinking outside the box.

Greens are improving nicely. 1 hole still down for fairway repair. The irrigation repair 'scars' are almost gone. Still lots of bare spots on the fairways if you get under too much shade..but it is July, I'll stand in CCC's plentiful shade and roll my ball to a good lie.

Installation of a new irrigation system and the replacement of a course well pump caused a temporary interruption of normal watering conditions. However, the new irrigation system is fully operational, and with the recent heavy rains, the tee boxes, fairways and greens are looking very nice. The golf club now has Landirr, Inc. as its new golf maintenance company (Landirr, Inc. has built 5 golf courses in The Villages and maintains them in superb condition, and the members are excited that Landirr, Inc. has made the same commitment to Continental CC.) The course is recognized as having the most challenging layout in the area, and with the improved conditioning you will enjoy your day of golf at a great summer price.

This course has some narrow tree lined fairways. The greens were slower than I normally play, but were in overall decent condition. I have not played Continental in several years and decided to give it a try, but doubt I will return. The staff was very friendly and deserves positive feedback. However, there are plenty of other courses that I would rather play.

The course has a couple of challenging holes and the atmosphere is great. The friendliest staff you would ever meet.

Course should be closed till greens and tee boxes are fixed. Left after 3 holes. Unplayable. Should not be on Golf Now.

I played this course a few weeks back and it was in pretty good shape. Not so now, they are installing new water lines and the fairways are a mess. Grass is very dry and a lot of sand on fairways and rough

Practice green was terrible. Course is a nice layout but green were inconsistent - but in better shape than the practice green = thank goodness. Course is tight and challenging but needs an upgrade at the greens keeper position,

Overall the course was in great condition and the value was amazing. The only drawback was that the staff was very disorganized and we ended up teeing off 45 minutes later than our tee time. Overall, a great course!

A very nice experience. Unfortunately, no fault of theirs, I was paired up with a couple of jerks. They had their little money game going. So, I felt like the odd wheel. The course is pretty narrow, but, not real long. Three sets of tees. There was some sprinkler construction on few holes. The greens were pretty fast, but have some damage. Real "old Florida" course. Large oaks line the fairways. Golfnow "hot deal" made it worth it.

The fairways are in good shape and the greens are fast. It has tree lined fairways that offer a challenge but not so narrow as to make it extremely difficult. The trees are great for blocking the wind on windy days. I believe it is a good value for the money.

This course was tree lined and beautiful. The fairways were wide and the course was well manicured. There were water holes on the side mainly. The 17th hole was over water. I would recommend this course and the price was excellent.

Course was in good shape, well maintained, some rot spots some on greens. Design was enjoyable. Golfnow should indicate that Thursday tee dates are front nines times two. Consequently unable to comment on whole course.

1:00pm tee time w/ wife. Great Hot Deal price. Paired up w/ another couple who bought other 2 Hot Deal spots. Typical Florida tree lined course in subdivision setting. Very tight & challenging. Water in play rarely, I think 7 holes total. Some unique holes. Tee boxes in decent shape. Fairways are plush. Some areas in roughs, near some greens bare. Elevated medium sized greens roll true & are fairly quick. Course management & good club selection a premium on this course. Battery powered carts w/ windshield in front & rain cover back. Decent Pro shop that's pretty well stocked. There was a 4-some (members I believe) behind our group w/ some guy who needs some etiquette. At 3 holes, he hit balls that rolled right up to us. He stopped & left after I warned him what would happen the next incident.

Had a tee time for 18 holes. Had to play the front 9 twice, members leagues have first priority. Pro shop guy was a jerk.
