Jabdilla2
Pace of play on front 9 was dreadful.it was related to issue with one person in foursome in front of us.in one instance 3 of 4 had putted out and then that guy goes back to where his ball presumably went in ditch.drops ball and chips it towards green and finished out the hole.this group thankfully had played the back 9 first so it got a lot better after they left.
No reservation
Even though I have a confirmation number, the course had no record. I was able to go off of the back and play 9.
Good round for the money
Though there is significant damage on a few of the greens the course is in pretty good shape and plays pretty well. Bunkers are a bit ugly and need to be cleaned up. Otherwise pretty good round.
Jabdilla 1
Course layout was nice.fairways were pretty good and not hard pan.greens were just fine.my wife and I were paired with two guys Rick and Mick and they were very welcoming..
Poor condition
Only the greens were acceptable the rest of the course condition was rubbish.
You would think with how much they are charging they could do better. Maybe someones making too much profit
Much improved
Over seeding the T boxes has been very successful, still dry but fairways being hard and well managed allows for great roll out. Greens are fast and pretty nice.
Pro Shop Disrganizef
Big line up in Pro shop to sign in. Sent everyone off the back 9 even though no tournament. Consequently pace of play was excruciatingly slow. Had to wait for 2-3 groups at every tee block.
Unique Course
The course was beautiful and very unique. A little more challenging with the sand bunkers and numerous hills. As other reviews have stated, many of the greens are extremely challenging and we found ourselves 3-putting often, but honestly since we were aware ahead of time from reading the reviews that the greens were that way, it didn't really carry any weight on us enjoying/not enjoying the round. We lucked out with perfect weather. It was January so naturally the course was a little dryer and harder, but would absolutely play here again! The starter was also exceptional!
A good day to play a little later...
I usually play Cypresswood most Saturday mornings starting a little before 8 am. But, the temperature at that time was in the mid-30s, and my regular opponent had called to let me know he was going to be working over the weekend and could not play. So, I looked around for options mid morning (when the temp would be into the 50s). After checking over 20 courses in a 30 mile radius the best offer was a $38 Golf Now Member only rate at Cypresswood (and I could and I could discount that with my $10 monthly tee time credit). Golf for $28 in Florida during tourist gigging season...who could ask for more?
I was pleasantly surprised, since it had rained for much of the first three days of the week to find the course wasn't soaked and limiting fairway crossings to only "high" areas. The starter paired me up with the final threesome in a group of 10. They were from a 55 plus community a few miles up the road which I had recently checked out, so we had a lot to talk about. They were a fun group (as I have found is often true when I have come out as a single).
By the time we were done (3 hours 30 minutes)...it was pleasantly in the upper 60s. A chamber of commerce winter day in central Florida.
Good folks, good golf, and a nice day...who could ask for more?
Reasonable green fee
Sand traps need work. Cart paths need repair. Lack of garbage pails and ball washers.
