About
Nk'Mip Canyon Desert Golf Course (previously known as Cherry Grove Golf & Country Club) is so-named for its diverse landscape that begins on natural desert and smoothly transitions into lush canyons and valleys. In the centuries prior to the course's construction, the Okanagan people referred to the scenic landscape as Nk'Mip, which roughly translates to "flat bottom land at the mouth of the creek or river." Preserving the stunning natural features, including the abundant native flora and fauna, was one of the top priorities when the Osoyoos Indian Band developed the course into a championship layout in 2001. Despite tumbling across a variety of elevation changes, the golf course is easy to walk and provides stunning views of the South Okanagan Valley along the way. The course offers a fair challenge with water hazards and numerous strategically placed bunkers coming into play.

Nice Course, friendly staff
Very nice course, and excellent value for what we paid. There was a torrential downpour after we played the 10th hole, and they very kindly gave us a 9 hole rain check. My only complaint would be the bunkers, it's poor quality sand and they're very hard
Spectacular Okanagan Course
This is the second time I've played Nk' Mip Canyon and even though conditions weren't ideal (windy anc cool), it was still an enjoyable round. This is a must play course! Love it!
Nice Course. BUT OH MAN THE WIND!
So glad we had chosen to ride a cart at this first time visit. It would have been a very long wearing walk as it was a very windy day. Hold on to your hat type . Enjoyed the course very much.
The course in great condition
Always enjoy playing this course regardless of the weather conditions.
Spring golf
Course is in very good condition for spring golf. Course is a beautiful high desert style course with good combination of short target golf holes and wide open bomber holes. Definitely worth playing again, view is spectacular.
Fun and Challenging
Great course to challenge your game playing from the blue tees, and fun to play from the white tees. There is a good balance of wide fairways for those shots that get away, with greens that demand the right approach shot to make par or better.
Staff are friendly and helpful creating a great golf experience. Will be back for more rounds next season!!
Great course for the money!
This is a great desert course,reminds me of courses in Palm Springs area!the staff were helpful and friendly,?it was my first time playing the course.i was lucky enough to play with two members who helped me out on where to hit the ball in the fairways and to stay out of trouble.the views are fabulous,fairways were in great condition and the greens are fast.i'll go back to play this course again! Great job mk'mip resort.highly recommend this course!
A blustery day on a beautiful course
We got a great deal on golf now to play this course and it was well worth it. The course is challenging but very playable. The course is very scenic, winding it's way through the desert, high up on the side of the mountain. We had a beautiful day and the views were fabulous but it was so windy that myself and the other lady had trouble on the long holes that played into the wind. We walked and it was fine although it would be tough if you are not in good shape. I would highly recommend this course as a must play if you are in the South Okanagan.

This course is right out of the desert. If you have not played in Phoenix, this course will give you an idea of what it is like! An interesting track!

Great surrondingd
One can only imagine playing a round of golf with ripened grapes all around you. I wonder how good 2016 wine will be? We are fortunate to have the opportunity to play in such beautiful surrondings with not a worry (only hitting a straight ball)....

This was the first time we played this course and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were are very friendly and the course was very well groomed. A pleasure to play here.
A good day in the desert.
This is a well-maintained course, with lush fairways and hard, quick greens.,The front nine is excellent, and the back nine is much improved beyond the old course that it has replaced.
Beautiful Shape, great green speeds-rolled.
No beverage cart on the course both times I played, this makes for a thirsty round of golf on a desert course? Not sure why no beverage cart, but you can stock up prior to going out and at the turn.

South Okanagan Treasure
Although we only played the front nine under a threatening thunderstorm we really enjoyed this course as a new favorite. The course design offers interesting & challenging variety. The location in the valley is unbeatable. The course conditions were perfect on the day & we enjoyed the very well done signage & directions for those of us new to the course. Staff & all services always very enjoyable.I expect our secret will become a very busy course in future.
Golf in Oliver
Like the course very scorable if you are driving well most shots that miss the fairway are unplayable. The staff are all top notch even the pro seems very down to earth compared to other pro's I've come across. I saw some other not so flattering comments. Good value.
great time
the staff are very friendly and helpful. they let you know what is available to you in the way of range balls, tee off time, etc. We were not rushed in any way and the pace of lay is very relaxing. We were informed of sales and deals. We highly recommend this course and to stay for dinner ; the restaurant has good food.
