NkMip Canyon Desert Golf Course
About
Nk'Mip Canyon Desert Golf Course (previously known as Cherry Grove Golf & Country Club) is so-named for its diverse landscape that begins on natural desert and smoothly transitions into lush canyons and valleys. In the centuries prior to the course's construction, the Okanagan people referred to the scenic landscape as Nk'Mip, which roughly translates to "flat bottom land at the mouth of the creek or river." Preserving the stunning natural features, including the abundant native flora and fauna, was one of the top priorities when the Osoyoos Indian Band developed the course into a championship layout in 2001. Despite tumbling across a variety of elevation changes, the golf course is easy to walk and provides stunning views of the South Okanagan Valley along the way. The course offers a fair challenge with water hazards and numerous strategically placed bunkers coming into play.

Nice!
The course was well kept, two complaints; out of balls at driving range and they have a couple of large groups and was very busy. Overall good experience and nice course, will play again.
Challenging walkable course
The course was in excellent condition --- greens and fairways. The course offers a variety of distances depending upon your tee choice with each a challenge regardless of your skill level. The large greens provide a welcoming target but the speed and contours of the surfaces present another whole level of challenges. I would definitely play again !!!
Fantastic course
Great course, the fairways and greens are in pristine condition cud is to the course superintendent and all the workers, great job. Beautiful First Nations sculptures at several holes and at the club house, very good value for the money.
Thanks everyone
Ken
challenging design
Impressed with the degree of difficulty, condition of course & the spectacular views. The food is great.
A must for avid golfers.
A Great Course
Although this was my first time playing this course and the weather wasn't good, I'll definitely come back on a nicer day to play again.
We would have stayed for dinner at the "19th Hole" however it was Friday night and the only space left was on the patio. Due to the inclement weather we decided to pass on dinner and make a note to return another time.
It's definitely worth the drive!!
Challenge but playable
Course was in excellent condition, our foursome walked it and I would say you should be in good shape to do so.the warning signs regarding snakes is no joke as we came across a large bull snake sprawled out across the cart path.i would call the course tough but playable, I lost more ball than I usually do so accuracy and proper club selection is important.
Greens
The course was great except the greens were sanded. Can't complain too much since on golfnow it was a good deal.
Good mix of old and new
Played this course in April and it was in good shape. The greens were quite fast and the newer greens were excellent. The food at this facility is awesome, try the salmon burger.
Fabulous Course
Really enjoyed my round today. Course is in super condition, firm fairways, greens are in great shape, many pristine, not a ball mark to be found. Praise to grounds staff as the course came out of winter in great shape. The new course rotation works well and the new 17th and 18th holes are nicely turfed and very playable! The experience today was well beyond my expectation for early April!
Real gem
Great course lots of variety for fairways. New #8 hole will be a great addition. Definitely would rate as a must play
One of our favourite courses but the cart fee was high.
The only complaint I have was the $40 cart fee which was $10 more than we paid in May and is higher than other courses in the area. Not sure if it was because we got a great deal on the green fees through Golf Now. Still a good deal overall.
Greens were great and Staff top notch.
Fast check-in at pro shop and the pro was very accommodating in getting me out earlier than my original tee time.
Some of the desert tee shots were challenging, especially if you are a first timer on this course.
The views and story of the golf course as you go hole by hole are pretty inspiring.
Overall I really like this course.
Great value for the money. Course is challenging, and always in great condition. A real desert course with beautiful scenery.
I really like this course, it's challenging, the scenery is beautiful and it's a real desert course. Fairways are pristine and usually the greens are in great shape. It's a beautiful setting with no houses around. The whole layout is interesting, definitely not a boring course, you wind through the hillside, some greens are elevated, some tee boxes are elevated, with great views from most of them. The deals I find on GolfNow make it very good value for the money.
We highly recommend the course. It's well-maintained, challenging, and great value for the money.
We enjoyed playing this course twice while on vacation in the Okanagan this August. We drove for two hours (each way) just to golf at Nk'Mip. We played it years ago when it was a nine-hole course called "Cherry Grove" and were very impressed with the new, picturesque course. The fairways and greens were fantastic, in great condition and very challenging. We highly recommend the course and will definitely play there again when we return to B.C. next summer.
