Golfer Reviews
Fun in the sun
Nice course, well worth the drive from Parksville, will play it again.
April 18,2015 Fun round of golf.
The price ,the weather ,the condition of the course made it a really enjoyable game of golf.
Course played well
Considering time of year and amount of rain lately, course played very well and at times exceeded expectations. Greens were in very good shape and fast with a few exceptions.
Nice course
Only had time for 9 holes. It was raining hard the night before and on the day I golfed. It stopped about 20 mins before I teed off. The drainage was fantastic! I didn't get wet and there were no soggy spots that I came across. Greens were beautiful as was the entire front 9. The ball still ran after hitting the fairways even though it rained allot. I was dill and did 9 holes in one hour fifteen mins. Beautiful course that is challenging.
hidden gem
my wife and i enjoyed the views, the greens were in great condition as was the course.. you can't go wrong playing this golf course.
Nice course layout. Some holes quite challenging.
This course is much improved since the last time I played a few years ago. A few challenging holes but playing 'smart' golf will yield rewards. Nice views from a few tees. A few light showers during the afternoon did not affect the greens, #quite fast#. A few hard spots on the fairways from lack of water and the effects of a hot, dry summer. Clubhouse staff very friendly and welcoming. Well placed bunkers and meandering stream keeps things interesting.
Alberni Adventure
Excellent fast greens on all 18 holes, visually beautiful and great views. The Alberni course requires straight drives off the tee through sentinel firs to reach mostly open fairways. This course is a real challenge to 1st time players and will prompt a determination to return to post the score you know you can. We had a great time and the staff were very helpful.
A thoroughly engaging and challenging course!
The course turned out to be, for us, an undiscovered gem. We're already planning our next trip to play again. We were so impressed with the variety in the course design. There's a little bit of everything to challenge both the occasional and the keen golfer. From the tips it's a great test for even the lowest handicapper. Very much worth the drive.
Well groomed even for late in the summer
lush and green, but well groomed tee locations, fairways, and greens. Many improvements to the course over the last few years. Well done!
Nice course, lousy pricing
$39 for twilight, starting at 3pm? Pretty steep price, considering neighbouring courses charge anywhere between $25 and $35. Plus, this course doesn't offer a single rider rate on their carts.
I guess that's what happens when you're the only golf course in town. (The Hollies is not really a golf course).
Golf With a view.
Perfect Conditions with an over the top natural location. Extreme value for Money. Mountains , trees and wildlife are breath taking.
Beautiful Vista - rolling hills surrounded by mountains
A delightful course with wide tree-lined fairways. Unfortunately the mowed grass still lay on the rough making ball spotting and recovery difficult but otherwise, beautifully groomed. The second negative was the cost of the old and noisy, gas-powered cart.
