Large bunkering is an element that makes Willowbrook GC more difficult than most layouts. Here is a greenside trap at hole one (par-5, 501 yards). Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/26/2025

The tee shot at the fifth, a fine par-3 of 124 yards, must carry a water hazard and a pair of bunkers. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/26/2025

The seventh green, like many holes at Willowbrook, sits upon a mound and is guarded by a single, large bunker. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/26/2025

Not great but not bad either
Fairways need some work, car-path need A LOT of work, no decent bathrooms on the course. Now the good stuffs, tees were ok nothing to highlight but the greens were awesome!! I have played in some high end courses and in some occasions their greens were not as good as these ones, honestly, they were impressive.
Good Value
Willowbrook is a good test at a great price. ($33)
The greens are slowish but are also very tricky with sharp run offs. Some tee boxes were not well maintained but again for the price it’s fine.
Flat course allowing use of most clubs
The course was pretty forgiving & greens are in a rehab state with sandy conditions. Sand in the bunkers was well groomed and fairways cut very short. Nice staff and fun day.
Great value.
Not a super course but certainly well worth the green fees. The greens are a bit furry but relalively good. The front of the greens were often very soft from the amount of rain. And the fairways and tee boxes were acceptable. Interesting layout. Like so many older course the cart paths are often pathetic. All said and done I really like the course for green fees charged.
Fun course
A bit wet in places, but easily avoidable. The greens were just sanded so a bit slow but they played true. I really enjoyed my round and will be returning soon.
Great course
Everything was fantastic
All of the employees were great
Food at the bar and the bar were really good
The only thing that could be fixed were the cart paths. Besides that it was fantastic
Can’t wait to play again
Great golf adventure
I just moved to Florida and had a great time playing this course. Challenging and adventurous; even saw my first gator slide into a pond nearby. I plan to play again many times.
Surprised
The course is in good shape only the big huge ruts beside all the cart paths on the back nine where a little trouble some. Trying to step over them at times to get to your ball. It’s a shame s who ever was hired to clean up the course didn’t care what they did to the cart paths.
Don't expect a 4 star
Absolutely ridiculous that this course is rated 4 stars. Figured I'd give it another shot since it was a 4 star, but it was the same as a couple years ago when I played it. Greens in rough shape, fairways too. Only improvement was the carts now had sand to fill divots although it looked like most didn't do that. This course should be rated a 2 or 2.5 star at best. Pace of play was great as there was hardly anyone out there, but I think that's because of the quality of the course. GN needs to reevaluate this course and get the rating down where it belongs.
Maybe one day....
The staff upon checking in a Willowbrook couldn't have been nicer. Sadly it went downhill from there. The course plays next to a 250 acres, 700 unit housing development that is under construction so there is a constant stream of dust blowing across the course. I'm sure there was a time when Willowbrook was a nice tract but now it's wet, overgrown, in disrepair, and has large dead trees everywhere, many of which have toppled over but they just lay there, a couple covering cart paths. I have to wonder if the developer of the housing next door has inquired about the Willowbrook land.
