Great value.
Great value for the money. Some greens have sun or fungus damage, but they are playable and are making a comeback.
Good value for the money
First time here, tried it due great price on Golf Now & favorable reviews. Course was surprisingly green despite the drought; greens were pretty rough on some holes, but hey, you get what you paid for. Tight hole width, lotsa trees, straight up & back hole layout, overall not bad, will be back .
golf in the hills
outstanding course. lots of trees. Greens roll true
Mace Meadow
Don't miss playing Mace Meadow this spring. The course is in wonderful shape and so green with the late rains. Had a great round even in the rain!
Back to old management ,,course is coming along ,,green right now
The course management has returned to its roots ,,I love the way they are improving the greens and fairways ,. Thet are cutting the fairways like a professional course , longer grass in the rough, while shorter in the heart of the fairways,,should help come summer with less roll ,( hard pan areas ,the ball should stop,,) lots of fun to play ..
Just a fun day
for being a mountain course, this is just a lot of fun and offers challenges all over. the greens were a little beat up from the drought. Great venue.
Very dry condition
The fairways are hard pan. Tee boxes need work. Greens are extremely slow.
Mace review
The draught has taken it's toll , some dry, bare spots on the fairways. This is a mountain course , lots of trees, ponds lakes on several holes. So accuracy is a must.
Good Program
Biggest negative is the goose refuse everywhere. The course needs to get a bird chasing dog. Better signage is needed to get to a couple of the holes. Good course layout- fun holes. Great overall package.
Love Foothills Golf
Always enjoy Mace Meadows. Tight but fun. Nothing else to add but review needs more words.
Great for the price
This course is great for single or family golfers. The afternoons are not busy at all. Because of some matinance problems with water pumps there are some dry areas. But they are fixed and they are addressing the dry areas now. I have 4 kids that golf and it is a great place to go.
Drought?
Lots of hard ground to contend with,.. and of course some narrow fairways to be had as well. Perhaps the Calif. drought could contribute to dry spots,.. greens were nice,... and nice new sand in bunkers!
Great mountain views
Your up at 3000ft and the view is amazing greens were in great shape
Out of the way gem
Terrific weather, pace was excellent and exellent value for the price. The course was mostly in good condition, but there were areas which needed work. Greens were slow and bumpy, but well worth the drive because the layout is interesting and fun.
Beautiful!
In the last year this course has really improved! The fairways and greens are nice. The golf course sits in the mountains up above Pioneer. A beautiful course to enjoy! Very friendly staff in the Pro Shop and in the restaurant/lounge - and the food is great! Nice view of the course from the lounge - there is also outside seating.
Fresh mountain air with sone golf
Great course . The staff wanted to charge me 64 dollars for 2 people with a cart so i think golf now and the course need better understanding of each other. But regardless frendly staff be lieved me and the rate that was originally intended
This course did not honor golf now pricing
Well I booked this course as a last minute effort to try and get in 18 holes before dark. I booked online for $22 included cart/18 hole. When I got there Was charged 17 for the round plus and additional $10 for a cart. I know business isn't great guys but taking it out on guest is not the way to keep people coming back.
Fantastic views
Played May 16 and WOW, just beautiful! A fun and visually stunning track. I was a little hesitant because of some previous reviews but family was staying in that area so we booked it. The course conditions weren't as wonderful as the view but it all seemed secondary. There's a lot of rough out there. The greens were slow and tough to read but overall it was a great experience. We all enjoyed it and had a wonderful time.
From the pro shop staff to those keeping the greens, all were very friendly.
Would'nt honor reservation.
They did not honor Golf Now's reservation for the $22 rate per person. They instead charged us $34 and said it was Golf Now's problem for not changing the rate in their system. I was embarrassed, as I was the one who bragged about golf Now's reservation system to my other three friends. So, is Golf Now wrong? I would put the blame on the course because they only charge $23 per person for those staying at the RV park where we are. But we didn't have the coupon since we made our reservation through Golf Now. Very embarrassing.
