Be prepared for a long day on weekends
The course is maintained much better than it has been in years past. If you are looking to play a round on the weekend, prepare yourself for a long, long day. We had a noon tee time, and were bumped by members who showed up without tee times, and only teed off after 12:30pm. There were no marshals on the course, and groups were playing very slow. Would not recommend this course on the weekend, as they are jamming the course tight with walk-ons to supplement their revenue.
I think this course was once a challenging Stanley Thompson design.
Our round was 5 1/2 hours ~ Very painful. They need to have a marshall to speed up play. The greens were in fairly good condition but the fairways and rough need work
Not a great course but you can't beat the price
The price for this outing ($18.00 for 18 holes with cart) is the lowest rate I have ever found. Having said this, the course was not worth too much more than I paid. Tees, fairways and greens were in avg. condition at best. Not only that but the designated cart pathways often were very bumpy with a lot of casual water hanging around. On the bright side though there were a couple of nice holes that were in better condition than the course was in general (such as the shortish 18th). If you are on a tight budget like I am Annandale works as an opportunity to get out and practice up a bit.
Challenging Par 4s
This course is relatively short as comparted to other championship courses yet has its fair bit of challenges. These come from its unforgiving rough and the Creek that runs thorugh pretty much every hole. There are some par 4s in there which are twisters rather than dog legs. The greens definitely need a bit of work. All in All a pretty challenging course.
With discount price, it is a good course
It is a good course for practicing, especially with discount price, but it is over crowded in weekend.
Very slow place.
Course plays very slow. Long wait at most tees and no course marshal to speed up slower players.
Very slow, very firm grounds
Pace of play is excruciatingly slow. Takes 3+ hrs to play the front, 2+ hrs to play the back. The grounds, including fairways and greens are hard as rock. If you don't pick it clean, you will thud your clubs along the rock hard ground.
Course is very inexpensive, so you get what you pay for. But if they reduced the number of golfers by 5 or 10%, it would increase the pace of play (and thus, enjoyment) significantly.
Course management is poor
I get disappointed by the action of a course official as a intervention during the play to share the cart to play with other person. I obliged but...
Why I paid for the cart for my individual use ??
It happened on Tuesday May 21 at about 12.30 pm.
Golfnow must enquire the matter not to repeat this unfriendly incidents.

The greens and and bunkers need maintainence
The course was in fairly good sharp and with the price not much more is expected. It's a good way to get out and enjoy
a good practice rounds.
Good fun for beginning of year...
Course needs a little TLC, but otherwise we had a good time for an early in the year round.
Greens need better care
Overall the course is a good value for the money. Some of the greens had winter burn or they were covered with buds from over hanging trees. I believe if the owner(s) invested money on main ting the greens this would go a far way. Also the replay price is one of the best!
Not impressed.
For $30, you can't expect to play a course in the condition of Augusta National, but I was really surprised how bad a condition the course was in. There also seemed to be a difference between the front and back nine, the back being better.
It's a shame as I really don't mind the design and some of the Par 3s from the back are a great challenge.
Overall, good design, not long but can be a challenge, but the condition......disaster.
This course requires a lot of maintenance and attention
Very poor maintenance in every category.
T boxes are totally uneven, fairways have more weeds and wild grasses than grass, bunkers have not seen any sand in years, the greens have dry spots and holes every where.
Only good thing is the price from golf now.
$24 including cart.
Can't go wrong with that.
Course is near city and good value for money. Course requires maintenance both for the fairway and the greens.
Pretty good value for money for the cost of green fee with power cart. Course needs better maintenance both for the fairway and greens. Play sometimes is too slow and golfers not sufficiently observing etiquette.
Disappointing
Overall disappointing. Fairways and Greens are not managed properly at all
The only thing I like is the first tee where you hit from a higher point
but other then that, not worth recommending to anyone
best value
deal came with round of 18 and a basket at the range
good course with some challenging holes
Overcrowd and too many slow players
Slow, slow and slow, delayed every holes.
People tends to have no respect to the course due to the poor condition. Nice layout but poor maitenance.
nice par 3's
Course needs to add some bunkers with quality sand.
Tee boxes are a top priority. Need to be leveled.
Challenging par 3"s.
Worst course I have ever played
Showed up for tee time and 5 groups waiting ahead of us on tees. No starter, no marshal. We played 15 holes and it took over 5 hours. Bunkers were filled with water, greens were covered in dirt from aeration. Uninteresting holes, with a weird layout. I will never play this course again, and was embarrassed that i booked this course for my friends. Do NOT recommend playing.
Interesting and challenging course!
Definitely a good value for your money. Small greens and interesting layouts makes this short course play harder than it looks. the course is forgiving but rewards you for strategic thinking in regards to angle of approach. The only issue is the play times at this course can be very slow (averages 5+ hours) and the greens even during the best weather are a little rough.
All in all, it's a great course for the money!
