Annandale Golf and Country Club

Annandale is a mature course with an interesting layout that criss-crosses Dufferin Creek. Water comes into play in nearly half of the 18 holes. Some greenside bunkers need drainage work and attention, Ground and fairways are hard and dry in some spots. Some of the roughs are tall and tough. Nonetheless, there is value for money here becuase the course has interest and character. Given its rough spots and tough edges, it challenges even the low-handicapper, although they might not want to play here. It is really not a true test given sometimes poor playing conditions.

Golf course u can get the lowest green fee in town.

First, the bad.

Paid $150 for 4 people, so its not exactly an expensive course but not that cheap either. At this range I'd expect to not have half the city on the course with me, and to have some reasonable greens.

Playing at an average beginners rate [lot of bogeys and 3puts], we quickly caught up to the next group. Eventually around the 8th hole we were waiting in a line of around 6 carts to tee off.

This is unacceptable. The course should not allow this many groups on at the same time. I'm not a stickler for waiting for the group ahead of me, and will gladly let anyone play through if I'm running slow, but a line up this long should never happen.

Now, the good.
I have nothing good to say about this course.

The course is OK but too much delay (it took 6 hrs)

For its location, could definitely be a lot longer and could be more challenging.

We teed off 20 minutes late because they were running slow. It took more than 5 hours to play 18 holes, we were always waiting.

Probably the worst golf course we have played in Canada.
Greens are in a terrible condition lots of bare patches obviously no maintenance. Staff only cut grass they need a professional green keeper. Bunkers untidy and paths need attention.
Fairways were bare and even the poor foxes can't find anything to eat.

If you want to play, practice, or learn golf on a limited budget, this course is for you !

My experience at Annadale was not the best. Tee off times not well spaced creating huge backlogs on many holes. Fairways and greens not well maintained.

Greens are in bad shape, fairways are bad, tee mounds are uneven and ground is hard like cement. It's not bad considering the amount we paid though but it's a nice layout and could be improved with maybe $1.5million...rates can be increased and members will definitely pay more if course is better taken care of. Maybe it needs a new owner??

Annandale is an old course. It has improved greatly over the years. Still needs work on the greens as they can be a bit chewed up by the sheer volume of people who play the course. It is important to book your tee times early in the morning or your round can become rather long exceeding 5 hours because of the slow play of people before you.

i won't regret that i chose this golf course.
i'd like to use this course more often.
