Gleneagle Golf Course
About
Gleneagle Golf Course in Arlington is just an hour north of Seattle. The 5,949-yard, par-70 layout may seem relatively short, but it's a course that will test your shot making skills and accuracy with strategically placed bunkers and undulating greens. The layout makes up for any lack of length in many other ways, including the treacherous rough that lines the rolling fairways. Water hazards come into play as well, but there are more on the front nine than the back. There are some challenging holes but overall, players of all skill levels will enjoy the golf course, especially with its backdrop of cedar and fir trees spread across rolling hills. With a driving range also available, Gleneagle offers one of the area's best values for the money.

tall grass
dandelions and unmowed deep grass. what was mowed had grass clippings left on grass. Bunkers had weeds growing out of them and tons of rocks. They need a new greens keeper desperately! In really bad shape. Staff was friendly but condition of course is that it is not being maintained! Greens were ok.
probably not worth it unless you get a groupon or other way to save. Too bad, they used to be ok last year, but obviously are in trouble, or in the weeds here!
nice Friday after work!
Great value from GN. overall course was in good condition play was at a good pace. Facilities need some custodial attention.
Great Value
Great Course for the price, staff is always super friendly and very helpful the bar and kitchen are top notch! Best Breakfast Sandwich of any course around!
Nice course
Course was in great shape, not too many people out playing. This was my first time playing the course, but will play it again.
ok course
Friendly staff but course fairways were too wet with lots of bumps.
Great value, challenging course
The staff are very friendly. The course is still a little wet. The greens were a little slow but ran true.
awful
poorly maintained, poor fairways, it like hitting it into tall grass. The course is cheap and you get what you pay for, but unless you are 21 with your hat on backwards, you won't fit in.
Gleneagle - too wet
Would not recommend the course at this time. Fairways are WAY to wet. Two temporary greens, 4 and 7. Too much water/mud in the fairways. Lost a ball in the middle of the first fairway. The greens were actually in pretty good shape but the fairways are so wet that one would be better off playing Legion or even Walter Hall or some other course. I wanted to try the course just to see what kind of shape it was in and had I known, would have played somewhere else. The drainage just isn't good enough to handle the rain this time of year. A lot of work is necessary to make the course more playable in the winter. It is a good summer course and has improved, but it is going to take some $$$ and work to make a big improvement in the drainage. I won't plan to play there again for probably at least a month and a half.
Mud,mud and long grass in mud
Did I mention long grass in mud, greens were decent
from the black tees tiger woods would have a challenge to break par!
from the black tees ur tee shots have to be spot on or else! you r forced to hit long and straight or its re tee great challenge i love to see anyone hit all 18 greens in regulation ! from the black tees ! from the whites no prob many tee diffs where 100 yrds . am i complaining no its the same for every1 blacks are very extreeeeem ! g luck breaking par i think the rating is 3 over and thy should re look at that .every time i play there its a blast!
Nice course
The course and staff were great. Course a little wet but all in all was a great golf day.
guarded greens, paired with fun partner
Shorter yardage with small greens, well guarded with sand and ponds, which made scoring more challenging. Paired with an interesting fellow who played and competed during his military days with the likes of Orville Moody and Lee Trevino! Made it a very enjoyable round!
Great to see!
This course has been resurrected from the dead. Great to see! The neighborhood even looks like they once again take pride in their houses! Greens are close to perfect! Don't forget to get a pin sheet!
lousy condition
This is my 4th trip here in the last few years. Doubt I will be going again. Tee boxes had not been moved in at least 3 days,..sandtraps (more.like dirttraps) had not been raked in weeks. Greens were average. I know the course is hurting for money, but my god,.move the tees and rake the bunkers.
Its a strange.layout with back to back par 3's on the front nine. Decent value for the money, but not good enough. Would rather shell out a few more bucks for a well maintained facilcity
rainy day in pnw
Considering that I played on one of the few days it rained this summer..it's hardly fair to rate this course because it was to wet and the ball was not getting the same bounce it could've on any other day. The greens were slow, but it looked like in good shape. Staff were VERY NICE AND ACCOMODATING. last time I played here, nearly drowned in the downpour...had to leave. I know I'll come back..with time.
going backwards
Course conditions have degraded from previous year. Golf cart paths need serious attention.
Nerve-wracking!!
I played this course yesterday, and the most common phrase my friend and I kept saying was "nerve-wracking"! On every single hole, there are houses that you could hit. Many houses have nets up to protect them from stray balls, but not all. This course was very challenging and tight. Yes, I would play it again, but I would settle for two mid-irons to the green, rather than a driver and a short iron. There are several holes where, if you can't hit it further than 150 yards, you will lose a ball in a marsh. Very punishing design. Not at all for beginners! We went and watched the seniors play at the Boeing Classic the next day, and said to each other several times that we really thought TPC Snoqualmie Ridge would be easier to play.
Course is in great shape. Staff always friendly.
Love this course. Greens are fantastic. Just need to get a marshal out there to keep up pace of play.
