Difficult with a lot of punishments for good shots
Extreme rough just off narrow fairways means lots of lost balls. A lot of hidden water and marshes punishes you hitting a good shot blind. Pretty setting but frustrating for the high handicap player.
Great local gem
This great local gem is somewhat hidden from the must play lists in York Region, and that seems just wrong. Great challenging layout will force you to make good choices vs just playing the long ball.
Friendly staff in the clubhouse and on course.
Looking forward to playing again soon.
Hot afternoon in Aurora
Arrival and check in was fine. Overall the course is nice but I am here to unfortunately point out a couple negatives; first many greens had a lot of damage, I believe it warranted a lower price!. Secondly, we played at 4pm in +30C heat and humidity, no refreshment carts on the course! We had to wait until the turn. I have to say that by the 10th tee we were pretty dehydrated! One final thing, each powercart is fitted with a Golf Logix GPS - but it didn't work. Too bad.
A nice challenge
Some of the greens were still showing some winter kill (but were still enough of a challenge), but overall the course was in great shape. There are some holes that you would benefit from some better maps if you haven't played it before -- the only real map is the one sign at each hole. Overall, a course to challenge all levels of golfer.
The greens
Appreciating that it is fairly early in the season I found the greens were very best up and need lots of work. The quality of the greens was not consistent with the cost to play.
staff totally professional and dedicated to the game of golf
splendid , spacious course, challenging but fair. each hole is unique so rarely get bored. 6 sets of tees so everyone can enjoy. super experience. love it!
Not worth the money
St Andrews Valley is a beautiful golf course however currently it is not worth the money. The greens are not in great shape and run very slow. I was not sarisfied with the course in relation to the cost.
Condition
The course is extremely wet the greens are a mess and probably shouldn’t be open
Friendly staff on a great golf course
Great day on the course with my son. Always greeted with very friendly staff with amazing manners and professionalism. Course has a nice layout with mixture of challenging and easier holes. Good driving range with best value in town. Pace was a little slow for my liking mainly because of a slow player in front - looked like he was always looking for balls. Marshall’s to speed up play would be helpful. Overall great day.
