Some like it tough, and for them there is St. Andrew's. This immaculate course is as beautiful as it is challenging, with water coming into play on 14 holes, and wickedly undulating greens. Called "One of the five best public courses in Ontario" by Score magazine - and simply "Canada's toughest golf course by others - St. Andrew's prides itself on being a real player's course, designed and managed by avid golfers.

wonderful experience

St. Andrew's Valley is a beautiful, challenging course! Great condition for a course that is open to the public. Not a course for beginners. Always a great day of golf when spent here!

Cart path only

We played in the morning after a thunderstorm in the night. Cart path only rule slowed down the pace. The started did not mention the rule to us and we were shouted at by the Marshal on the course.

Would have been a 10 if not for the deer flies

As I said, the day would have been a 10 if not for the deer flies. They were a bother on almost every shot. I googled them after the round and it appears they are an issue in June and July so we will not return until August or September but we will return for sure as everything else about the course was a 10.

Putting greens

The putting green was not in good condition, a lot of bumps and the speed varies from hole to hole

Great greens

Challenging course. The greens are very well rolled and fast. They are huge and undulated, require a good amount of reading before the putt

Great track, little to pricey

I usually try and play St. Andrew’s at least once or twice a year. Course is always in great condition. And is always a challenging, but fair day out on the track.

The only downside is how expensive this course can be, prime time, with cart is well over $100.

Love this place!

One of the most over looked gems in the GTA
I get out on the course a few times a year and it's always an incredible challenge. Par 5s are designed to make you think and work. Lay ups of the tee are a must on 3-4 of them, but it's a blessing in disguise since it makes you think hard about where to place your 2nd shot lay up. Greens are true 3 tiers, so misses are sometimes better to be off the green but on the correct tier.
All around great course, quiet and well kept. I usually shoot mid 80s but breaking 90 from the blue tees is a victory at the Valley.
