Settlers' Ghost Golf Club
About
Settler’s Ghost Golf Club is located just outside of Barrie on what was formerly an important Huron Indian settlement. The golf course is an homage to the former inhabitants of the land, including the Huron Indians and emigrants from the British Isles. The golf course was built to maintain the historical integrity and scenic features of the rustic, rolling landscape. The dramatic elevations throughout the course offer stunning panoramic views of the Niagara Escarpment and the Georgian Bay. Settler’s Ghost Golf Club is relatively short at 6,311 yards from the back tees, but there are still some lengthy shots that will appeal to long hitters, including the par-5 eighth, which stretches to 539 yards.

Hidden Gem
There are many courses a stones throw away from this one. This was recommended to me and I would certainly reccomend it to anyone else.
Very hilly so walking is not for the faint at heart but still great for any style golfer.
Great layout, challenging shots and hardly ever a level lie. Always adding or subtracting a club for elevation changes. Great price too.
Well maintained course
3rd time this year I have grabbed a hot deal for this course. Its not very long but its in great shape and the pace of play was very good.
Great day at Settler's Ghost!
Despite the searing heat this summer, the grounds crew have done a great job keeping the greens in good shape as well as the tee boxes and most of the fairways. A few brown patches here and there but you can't fault them for that in this insane heat. Everyone there was really friendly. Pace of play was great. We played a 2nd round we had such a nice time. Good value for money, great service and some of the best views you'll get anywhere!
Beautiful
Course is always in prestine condition!! Even during the drought that we have been having. Hats off to all the grounds keeping staff.
Settlers Ghost
Course was in very good shape. Greens in great shape. Many blind tee off shots. Will definitely play this course again. Great value. Staff were very friendly and the beer was cold
very slow 1st nine but then the marshall told the slow group holding everyone up to allow us to play thru ..after that it was great
Great course
Challenging and fun to play. Some grounds persons a bit of distraction though when playing around them. Some of them didn't acknowledge me and just kept on doing their work without silencing their machines. Bad timing maybe? But I'm happy overall and will play there again.
Always a tough round.
Early season round and as tough as always.
Course is in great shape except the bunkers. Never hit into 1 so no harm no foul.
Elevation changes and blind shots always make for a good test of your game.

Yardage?
Great shape. Greens were good. But for a course fully open they should have had their Yardage Markers on the fairways. No Markers made it difficult to estimate your yardage out.
For the price of the course at the beginning of the year and the condition of the course especially the geeens were in it wasn’t worth the 50 bucks to walk that course. Greens are in pretty poor shape hopefully a month of weather a maintenance will turn them around
Settlers Gost
To many blind holes
A very hilly course with unplayable side lies
No yardage markers so hitting the right club is a guess
