About
Settler’s Ghost Golf Club is located just outside of Barrie on what was formerly an important Huron Indian settlement. The golf course is an homage to the former inhabitants of the land, including the Huron Indians and emigrants from the British Isles. The golf course was built to maintain the historical integrity and scenic features of the rustic, rolling landscape. The dramatic elevations throughout the course offer stunning panoramic views of the Niagara Escarpment and the Georgian Bay. Settler’s Ghost Golf Club is relatively short at 6,311 yards from the back tees, but there are still some lengthy shots that will appeal to long hitters, including the par-5 eighth, which stretches to 539 yards.

First time at settlers ghost
For early golf given the winter we had this course was in great shape. Only con was the dark sand bunkers on the back nine could use a top up and could have been raked out a bit better.
Greens were fast considering they are not in peak shape, and you could tell ey were working on them. Still they were challenging.
Many blind holes, which was challenging but would have proved much more difficult if we had not grouped up with someone who played the course already.....lucky us!
Fairways and rough was tended to nicely and overall the experiance was a great one. I will play this course again for sure!
beautiful course friendly staff
Booked this course from Golfnow, and after I had some of my group bail last minute, the course was really nice in accommodating me.
Always love the course lay out and always enjoy playing here.
I will keep going unless I find a reason not too

Nice variety of holes
We had a great day of golf walking the course which is hilly and varied. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Course was in good shape. The only very minor complaint is the lack of signs or card information on the course layout, especially given the number of blind holes.

Very impressed by the service at this course! The marshals were very personable and extremely friendly and helpful! While I do believe the regular priced green fees are a little on the high side considering the course only measures a little over 6300 yds from the tips; when combined with the deals on this site it creates a winning combination! This was my first time playing this course but it won't be my last. Great job Settlers' Ghost!
Settlers Ghost
Will replay without wife. Course is challenging for high handicapper and may frustrate. Many blind shots and can be tight at times. Greens will be in better condition in next few weeks. Rest of course wonderful. Great value CN Womens Tour has been held there always greta to play a place pros have played.

Well manicured and maintained! Very scenic course with views stretching for miles.
The blind tee shots make for a interesting round.

A very nice course with lots of blind shots. The course was in great shape and the staff very friendly, I will go back again for sure.

Beatiful views
Course had just opened last week, good shape with very fast greens, fairways were in good shape considering the harsh winter.
Wonderful 3 and one half hours
The course was in very good shape for the time of the year and the staff was very good. The number of tee boxes and the degree of difficulty made it a good course to start the year on. The number of blind shots did give me some concern as on one hole the group behind us hit over our head. Having played the course I would park the cart where it was visible to the group behind. Overall a great day though.

The course was in amazing shape considering the recent rain in our area. This late in season had the course almost to ourselves. The greens had been aerated but still played fairly well. The fairways were well drained with only a couple of unplayable spots.
Fantastic round of golf for a fantastic price ($15).
Good Course
The course itself is hilly ,in which it makes it a lot more challenging than your standard course. The greens are in good shape as are the fairways . As with most courses , keep the ball in the fairway and you will have a great game.
This is an excellent course.
Overall this is an excellent course. The course is in great shape. The staff and other golfers are always friendly. The course is challenging yet fair. The only negative is the tee shot on the 18th hole for left handers.

Excellent layout. Interesting and challenging holes
I was most impressed with this course. It is not long but a tight course that requires the use of every club in the bag. Very well maintained. It has wonderful vistas.
