SPRING AEROATION
Capitol City Golf course is an outstanding place to play especially when it has been wet as it is one of the best in draining. They recently aeroated the greens so today they were a bit bumpy and slow. With weekend rain they will be great in a few more days. Wish there had been a notice on GolfNow before making reservation. Do not use yellow balls for the 1st or 9th hole as they tend to get littered
with range balls. The on-site restaurant is an excellent place to get a cool drink and food. Will certainly be back again.
Greens sanded
They punched and sanded greens this week so greens need a week to get back to excellent condition. Overall course is in good shappe..
Lots of roll
As usual the course was in good condition, lots of roll in the fairways. Biggest issue was the greens where punched and sanded (suprisingly still rolled with decent pace) but was not notated anywhere prior to the round or during booking.
Great winter coarse
Capital City is always a favorite for winter and off season play. The coarse is in good condition and rates are very reasonable. They are punching the greens today so it will be a week or two before they are good to play on. The food in the Fireside Grill is above average and the golf staff are friendly and helpful. The coarse is challenging with tree trouble along most fairways.
Good time
Finally got some decent weather and course conditions were great. Got teamed up with a fun group. Play took about 5 hours because we had 4 groups of new players in front of us. We had some excellent bloody Marie’s and made the most of it. Don’t forget we were all beginners at one time!
Great Family day
Course is in nice shape for Feb. We took the family. My 8 and 10 year olds were welcomed very nicely. Which is refreshing, it’s not always fun when others dislike kids learning the game. Food was great at the Bar and Grille afterwards. Definitely will be back.
Good and getting better
Winter keeps fading away and spring approaches as the course takes shape
Winter Wonderland
Capital City Golf Club is one of the best courses to play in the. Wetness of Washington winters. We played through rain and snow, wind and cold. Despite the harsh conditions, the course is in good condition and very playable. Additionally, it is always a good value- GolfNow just makes it better.
Capital is great place to go to cure the wintertime golfing Jones.
Cap City rocks
Best golf course in Western Washington, been playing this track for years, it hasn't lost its appeal yet. There's not another course that drains better in wet weather. Very innovative and pleasant staff. The restaurant is upscale , the menu is great, you could bring a date for a dinner out without shame.
Light rain
There was a light rain the whole round. There were a few die hard golfers. The course was in great condition. The only area that accumulates any water is the sand traps. 18 holes took me 3 hours. I did catch up to another group that let me play through. I had a great meal afterwards. I couldn’t have asked for a better day!
Cap City - 10/12/18
Beautiful day! It was obvious that the course was doing a lot of work in preparation for rains to come, didn't hinder play. Things like airating tee boxes. Greens had been not long ago, but ran pretty true. Speed was good, even though I couldn't get the ball to the hole. Good friends, good golf, great day!
