Southbrook Golf and Country Club
About
Nestled in the quaint village of Binbrook, Southbrook Golf & Country Club has a charmingly idyllic yet convenient location that is only minutes from the QEW, the 403, and the Lincoln Alexander Parkway. The club first opened in 1969 with a nine-hole golf course, which was later expanded to 18 holes in 1972. A renovation of the golf course resulted in a redesign of five holes on the front nine and a new irrigation system. Southbrook Golf & Country Club now plays to a 6,560 yards and its new challenges demand precision and keen course strategy. The meandering Welland river snakes through the golf course as well, coming into play on 13 holes while also enhancing the natural beauty of the course.

Great fun, great course, great food
I've played here a few times and every time I notice something that is better then the last time I played. I'm always greeted by friendly staff, the course is challenging but forgiving. Looking forward to my next round there.
Course was in disappointing shape
Hard bare spots on teeing ground, bare spots in fairways surprising for the amount of rain we've had in these parts. Also , from the red tees, some hazards are just where the average lady drives her ball. Some par threes require a driver for a lady golfer. Not quire ready yet for those further forward red tees, but a happy medium would do! Greens were bumpy.
I expected course to be in better condition for this time of season.
I liked the course, the staff in the pro and clubhouse were very good, I did not like th emarshall telling us we were holding up the pace of play midway on the second hole. He pointed out that my daughter ( a beginner) was holding us up, didn't mention that we were a foursome and we were waiting on the foursome in front of us, did tell my daughter to take only 2 practice swings and that when he first started playing, southbrook marshal asked him to leave the course because he was so slow. I have heard of other people complaining about the marshalls at southbrook , now I know why!
Great design, challenging course
Played at 6am from the back tees. Had a lot of fun in this course.
The course is in the middle of the countryside and you only hear birds throughout the round.
The design is great, it has a decent entertaining and challenging length without being crazy. Good combination between very long (450ish) and short (350ish) yards par 4's.
The trees in the course are absolutely beautiful: old, big and well maintained.
The greens were in very good shape, the ball rolled very good. However, half of the greens seemed to be very old basic designs and are small, with no movement or bunkers around.
The staff is super friendly!
I'll definitely come back!
Whats with the marshall
The title says it all whats with the marshall we were not holding up play as there was no one behind us and the marshall was still bothering us we were new players we were playing as fast as we could again there was no one behind us
Great Course
Played on a perfect day. Course was in great condition with a great layout. Pace of play was a little slow, but who can complain on a perfect day. Hot deal price of $20 represents exceptional value. Will definitely play here again.
What a great day
Course is in great condition, obviously a litte wet considering the rain, are most courses this time of year. Greens were slow due to rain. Overall Great value for the price. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Enjoyed the beet Salad after the round (nice menu) Wish I didn't loose a bet to buy my buddies dinner/salad. ..lol. overall a great day on a little bit of a chilly day. Looking forward to hopefully playing better on my return.
It is what it is
Course was starting to come around. Rain last week rain last night so had to walk as carts would have chewed the place to ribbons. Hopefully rain will bring turf to full form and the place will be awesome.
Early season round
Great to be able to get out in April. Course was walking only as there are some wet areas still remaining from the winter.
Will play the course again next month when I expect the course to be firmer.
Have always enjoyed playing here.
Great people and fun course.
Course keeps getting better
Mid November on this course was incredible. Greens were well kept , fairways were smooth and free of leaves. A little bit of aerating on some tees but after all it is November. They'll be real nice in the spring. Great course for average golfers with some challenges but opportunities are there for some good scores. watch for the creeks the wind there way through the course. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. After a round the restaurant has a nice lounge with exceptional food and the staff takes pride in there jobs. Wouldn't hesitate to go back.
Fun Fall Golf
A really nice round of golf, especially being November. The course was in excellent shape, the greens were great and rolled nice. The fairways were a bit damp, but played good, most of the leaves were blown off the fairways, so as long as you were around the fairways, it was easy to find the ball. The course was fun to play and just challenging enough that it was fun.
Southbrook Golf Club
Always a pleasure dealing with all staff from Reception to the 19th hole.
Very nice layout
First time at this course for wife an i. Nice layout, easy to navigate with a good mix of holes shaped around mature trees ,but fair . Only issue of the day was slow play . Did not see the starter on 1st tee . An the ranger did nothing but drive around in his cart .With out even a hello hows it going to any of us . Wish rangers would actually do there job ,
We are very sorry about the situation with the marshal and will address it immediately. Our #1 focus is service and this is not right.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we wish your daughter all the best in learning the sport of golf! We hope that you will give us another try so please email me at ryan@southbrookgolf.ca.
