Glen Eagle Golf Club - Red/Blue
About
Glen Eagle Golf Club, which is situated just northwest of Toronto, offers 27 holes of championship golf that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Red/Blue Course features undulating fairways and large, heavily contoured greens that move fast. The Red nine is the most difficult of the three nines at the club. It demands keen course management skills and accurate tee shots. It also requires a few long drives at 3, 521 yards form the tips. The Blue nine is challenging as well, but there are birdie opportunities on the 5th and 7th since their greens aren't elevated like all of the others.

October golf
Glenn Eagle is a great course to play....challenging and always in a great shape. The only downfall is the price. I find it a little pricy.
Pleasure
It’s a really nice course to play. Nice lay out; several really beautiful holes!
Boycotting
Never playing there again and I hope more people stop playing there as well. Complete garbage. I keep thinking the overall experience would get better but some things do not change. If you are a regular weekend golfer there are so many better courses. The course is for beginners/first timers. For 100$ it is a total rip off. If you are a beginner try Bathurst Glen (par 63 I believe)
Course needs better maintenance
Greens were pathetic ...like a threadbare rug...Most tee boxes were totally chewed up and I guess being late int he season blue=white=red, since they were all on the same tee box and distance measurements matched Reds ont he score card?
Did you have a beginners competition recently, or perhaps running of the local bulls (on the tee boxes only of course)? Fairways were in better shape, but many unfilled/unrepaired ball divots...
With a bit more care, this could be a really nice course....try harder to become the envy of your neighbours across the street....
Disappointed :(
Hello, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars. We have projects underway to recover the course conditions. We hope you'll bear with us through this transition and give us another try in the near future. Thanks for choosing Glen Eagle Golf Club - Blue/Yellow.
Challenging but still forgiving
Delayed start due to frost but once we started no complaints about pace of play - 4 hours. We walked which was fine as it wasn’t hot but in the summer i’d want to use a cart. Course was in good condition for the end if the season and quite challenging, but we were generally able to recover our miss-hits!
Will definitely return and would recommend it.
Great round at Glen Eagle
Played Glen Eagle for the second time on Sept 24th.
Conditions for the day and the course were perfect. Sunny & warm with very little wind.
The course was in very good shape & the pace of play was excellent. Played in under 4 hours.
Great on course service as well. They don't forget about you like a lot of courses.
Fairways & greens were in good shape.
It might help that I had an excellent round-shot +1
I will definitely be back
Nice course
Great shape and good pace. Happy to see the marshal checking up on things
Hi andreatalsma. Thank you so much for the great review. We are glad you had an incredible time, and we hope to see you again soon! Thanks for choosing Glen Eagle Golf Club - Blue/Yellow.
Not worth it
One thing’s for sure, this course is poorly managed. The course is in rough shape. The tee boxes are terrible - patches of dirt, uneven, missing tee blocks. Greens had so many ball marks, it’s clear neither the players or the staff take ownership to repair them. There’s also garbage everywhere throughout the course. If garbages have been removed citing COVID precautions, that’s idiotic. They have a beverage cart running, so cans were everywhere. But on top of all that, they did not manage the tee times well at all. They sent us (a twosome) out after a group of 7! The pace of play (or lack thereof) ruined the entire experience. I can’t for the life of me understand why this course is the price it is - not worth it by any means.
Hello and thank you for reviewing the course. Let us first start by apologizing for your experience during your round. This is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. We are going to escalate your feedback to our team so we can make improvements before your next game and will continue to work towards an excellent experience by using your comment for guidance. Thank you for playing Glen Eagle Golf Club - Blue/Yellow. We hope to see you again soon.
Very slow and not worth the price
This was my 52nd round since courses opened in May and my 35th different course. I have played some courses that were more expensive and some less and found this to be one of the worst value for the price.
We played 18 in about 4:45 and waited on nearly every tee. When I mentioned it to the marshall, he said it is full, so it will be slow.
There were interesting holes and the course was in ok shape, but for $100 ( tax in and cart) and a nearly five hour round, I can think of many other courses I would rather play
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback as we will use your review to better the experience going forward. We hope you give us another try in the near future!
Nice course
We played the yellow and red nines. Good pace, fairly well manicured grounds pretty good layout other than the initial drive to the first tee.
Would recommend and replay
