Glen Eagle Golf Club - Red/Blue
About
Glen Eagle Golf Club, which is situated just northwest of Toronto, offers 27 holes of championship golf that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Red/Blue Course features undulating fairways and large, heavily contoured greens that move fast. The Red nine is the most difficult of the three nines at the club. It demands keen course management skills and accurate tee shots. It also requires a few long drives at 3, 521 yards form the tips. The Blue nine is challenging as well, but there are birdie opportunities on the 5th and 7th since their greens aren't elevated like all of the others.

Unbelievable
I just read that this also happened to another player in the review section. We had a 4some booked for Saturday august 8/20. The Friday night before, it started to rain and didn’t stop until the Sunday. That Saturday morning there was no chance the course would have been opened/playable. Now,1 month later, I was charged 200$ for missing that tee time. I’ve been golfing for 15 years and not once have I not shown up to a booker tee time unless the course was not playable. So disappointed in Glen Eagle for doing this and I hope others find a way to NOT play here and try to book Nobelton Lakes where for 15$ more is 100% better
Good course but could be better for the price
I always enjoy playing Glen Eagle. It’s a nice course with some challenging holes. Also some wide open holes where you can find a ball that finds the rough and still have a good chance at par. For the money I think they need better carts and some tees were in rough shape. Overall I would recommend it.
Lots of repairs
Played Yellow-Red and yellow was in ok shape. Red had a lot of work being done
2 groups ahead of us dead slow, no marshals anywhere.
For the price, I'd expect better.
Hello and thank you for reviewing the course. We apologize for the delay of play during your round. This is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. With an uncharacteristically full day, we work hard to accommodate everyone who visits our course and allow our guest the chance to complete their rounds. With that in mind, we are working to best control pace and allow everyone to finish in a reasonable amount of time. We will continue to look for ways to improve. Thank you for playing Glen Eagle Golf Club - Blue/Yellow. We hope to see you again soon.
Overall a great golf course. Would highly recommend.

Overpriced for the condition that its in
Greens are pretty much the only thing that Glen Eagle has that is ok? Its now an old course that needs some better TLC put into it? Lots of dead trees and turf conditions that could be better. If I'm going to pay almost 100 bucks for a round of golf I would think that the conditions would be better than they are at this course!

Charged a month later
Payed and played for a round here with myself and 2 friends. We were supposed to be a foursome but one guy cancelled on me last minute, which I conveyed to the pro shop at the time of check in. Nothing was mentioned about having to pay for the missing golfer, so I assumed like every other course, it happened and they understood. We each payed separately and they said to go out as a threesome, no problem. About 2 days ago I receive an email saying they are charging me for the missing golfer, full green fee with cart. So I called Golf Now and they understood and were going to call the course for me. Long story short, the pro REFUSED to refund the money even though it was not asked of us the day of the round. Completely unacceptable business practice if you ask me, the pro would not even take my calls. Would not recommend booking here unless everyone has booked and paid separately, since this seems to be a possibility. On a side note, greens and tee blocks looked like the moon, and unless you have played the course recently or have xray vision it is difficult to gage where to hit on some holes.

All great but the greens
Courses are great and in great shape, its demanding at times, only greens are not in good shape or clean, real shame for beautiful courses , but we will be back
Not coming back
We drove down from the city and I wasn’t blown away.
I wouldn’t come back. Putting greens had been in terrible conditions, branches, leaves all over them. Like nobody had cleaned them in weeks.
Golf carts were terrible, had to exchange ours as it sounded like gun shots and then they gave one that was stalling all over the place.
I was really excited to play this course but it was a total let down in my opinion

Overbooking
When we arrived at 10 tee their was a group in fairway, group on tee & the our group, plus an additionaly group coming up behind us. They send us to the 3rd. Nine which took us 7/8 minutes to drive to as it was the furthest point from clubhouse.Problem overbooking groups too close COVID def, not considered..figured something wrong when we arrived as parking lot was full .
Overpriced for the course to begin with then this mess,
Never again, Rangers hiding because they knew that their was nothing they could do.

Great course! Lots of trees on both side of the fairways but well maintained so you can find your ball easily. Greens were fast both times I played there. Pace of play was good the first time around but this time there was a group ahead of us that played 3 holes in 50 mins. They offered to let us go through and that worked out well.
Overall, the course is well maintained and tough enough without beating you down.
Staff: usually pretty dry but I keep my expectations low. I had to cancel once since there was a major storm coming in 30 mins into our play time. The date was August 16, 2020 and one can check the amount of rain that came down that day. The staff member tried to lecture me on how the course is still open (4 hours before our tee time) and that we can start to play and they will give us a rain check for the holes we miss. I simply stated that playing 3 holes out of the 18 was going to be a waste of our day. I was open to them charging my credit card and letting me play another day. Regardless, they did cancel it but the customer service was lacking.
Terrible management
While checking into play I was informed that there were no cart dividers during this covid pandemic and if I wanted my own cart it would cost an extra 20. I find this to be extremely unfair during this pandemic. I insisted that if there were no cart dividers I shouldn’t have to pay extra for a cart but to no avail. We had a foursome in front of us that were in their second 18 and were very very very slow because they were drunk. Extremely unacceptable. I would not recommend this course to anyone!!
