Glen Eagle Golf Club - Yellow/Red
About
Located just northwest of Toronto, Glen Eagle Golf Club offers three unique nines that provide three different 18-hole, championship courses. Spread across a scenic terrain of rolling hills and valleys, each course has unique vistas. The Yellow/Red golf course combines the most difficult nine with another that is considerably shorter with many opportunities for birdies. The 3,227-yard Yellow nine provides a gentle start with several short par 4s but prepare yourself for the Red, which stretches to 3,521 yards from the tips. This nine is the most difficult, demanding long drives as well as accurate tee shots. There are also large, elevated greens that are heavily contoured and surrounded by bunkers.

Very Pleasant
Very pleasant course to play but for first timers stoke saver booklet or GPS would be useful.
Overlooked course?
Lots of elevation changes (i.e. hilly), rarely a flat lie, but fairways are wide, rough generous, traps avoidable, and greens wide (but with breaks more severe than what's apparent). Conditions very good, but their cartpaths have seen much better days! Hadn't played here for years, but I'll be back, especially on a Golfnow hot deal.
Course has great par fives, mature trees.
Golfed here many times in the previous years and I really like this course. Excellent par 5 holes and the scenic mature trees provide some challenging narrow tee offs. Keep everything in great shape just was unlucky this round as it was cut short due to that massive storm that rolled in. The staff was very friendly and as we finished our front 9 they rain checked our back 9 and looking forward to heading back and enjoying another great round at Glen Eagle.
PLAYING WITH FRIENDS
The course is in really good shape and if they spent a couple of bucks it could easier by a $100 course.
Decent track
Played here for first time this year. Course was in good shape over all. Greens were excellent, bunkers could have used a little grooming in some spots. Very enjoyable.
course design
It was confuse to all the direction.
Espicially Red to Blue , after blue we lost to get to the club house.
It shoud finish all 3 courses to the club house.
Very Slow Pace of Play
The course was in very nice condition and we got a deal on GolfNow for $50 (incl. cart). Unfortunately the pace of play was VERY slow....over 5 hours to complete our round. There was not a Marshall to be seen anywhere....very frustrating. I would have liked to try this course again but given the very slow, unmarshalled pace of play (and numerous other comments about the same issue) I will spend my golf dollars elsewhere. Lots of other courses out there and my time is too valuable to sit around waiting behind the group ahead of us who are waiting on the players ahead of them....
An enjoyable round of golf
We played on a Golfnow special, and for $50.00 per person, this is an absolutes steal.
Great Experience
The course was in excellent condition with beautiful fairways and true but very large greens. The fairways are wide and forgiving but the rough is lined with trees so you can often leave yourself with a punch back out to the fairway is you are not careful.
Great experience and will definitely return!
Great Course
Extremely enjoyed this course. Tough and fast greens. Challenging yet forgiving. Best bang for buck course in the GTA.
greens large and in excellent condition
My son and I played in under 4 hours. This course is in excellent condition and offers everything a golfer wants.
overall worth it
course in great shape. Price was fair. Cart was good. BBQ staff was rude and borderline hostile. Food was iffy and tasteless.
Course was great
The course was great only one problem the course was over booked we were suppose to tee off to 2:55 but didn't get to tee off until 3:15. The first 3 holes were a bit slow but after that the pace picked up. Over all it was a great day
Too many tourneys!
The Marshall tried to push us along since they had a shotgun tourney arranged even though we were 1 hole ahead of the group behind us. That our 4some did not understand or appreciated!
Nice course, pace stunk.
Course was in great shape. Front desk guy could use a happy pill. Fellow who helps transport clubs from parking lot needs to slow down. Why they let people even walk on Saturdays is beyond me. Pace was awful on back 9 (I think it was red?).
Beautiful Course
First time on this course and i was really impressed by the beautiful landscape. The course was long and challenging. But it's not a course suited for walking. Just getting to the first tee took about 5 minutes and that's riding. Other than that, i would definitely come back again.
Good course has slipped a little
Course is no where near the condition it was over the past few years. The course condition has slipped, the greens are rough and fairways are filled with patches. It's still a good course and enjoyable to play.
Nice layout and very picturesque
Very solid course. I got to see all three nines since we were asked to play the "old course" because of a tourney which is a combo of all three. It is a nice layout. A lot of short par 4's. Pretty well kept greens.
A few minor issues were that beverage cart service was almost non existant and condition of pathways were so bad that many were almost unusable. Kind of looks like there might be a shortage of cash to keep up some of the amenities.
Worth the play especially if you get a discount
Very nice course.
Played at Glen Eagle on June 1st. Course was in excellent condition. Greens were excellent. Very enjoyable round.
Really solid overall, one of my favourtes
Really awesome course, insane hot deal at $30 for a Sunday afternoon round. The weather was awful on the day but I would love to come back as the course layout and condition was great, with challenging but fair holes for the average golfer.
