Not much of a "deal"
final cost with GolfNow per person with all taxes , fees etc was approximately $48.....cost at the course without Golf Now $50.
Course was in pretty good shape for this early in the season.
best bang for buck
Nicely challenging course especially when the winds are going. But you can't beat this course for the price you pay for it! I will be back.
A frustrating round
I was excited to play the Highlands after several years away. I got a good deal for 18 with cart and driving range. Once on the course I was frustrated to see no starter or marshals and a lot of people that didn't know what they were doing and no idea about golf etiquette and pace of play. It felt like they were trying to put through as many golfers as possible without considering the overall experience.
Too bad because the Highlands is still a good layout.
Good time
It wasn't that busy and we got our round finished in 3.5 hrs. I love that pace of play.
excelent
Great value, good course and friendly staff. I will be back!
Great Value
Great Value for the money, course is challenging enough
Great course for over-all value
Played with 2 buddies who including myself are seniors and thoroughly enjoyed our round. Very playable from the whites. The challenge came from the fast undulating greens with huge breaks.
Alright course - weather was okay
There's nothing bad I can say about this course, except for some adverse/extreme winds on a few holes and the fact that it rained on a few other holes, even though the forecasts didn't call for it (again; not really the course's fault).
That being said, the course isn't overly narrow/tough, its pretty generous, not too many crazy elevations and overall, I'd say its pretty comparable to 'Heritage Hills' course (further north in Barrie).
I would play this course again but for less than $54.99 (included cart + range balls) considering we trekked from Toronto so it was a bit of a drive.
Great value for a fun course course
It's pretty fun place to play! The value is excellent! Can't find anywhere else to play a full length course for $30 with cart!! The conditions are pretty well maintain also.
Fun course to play.
I like this course for the following reasons. Friendly staff (Ryan, for one example). Less than 4 Hours of play. Even though I rode, I have walked this course many times and is not difficult. A forgiving layout with no travel time from green to next tee.
Good variation and good value
I played here around 10 times. Most of the times, it was ok with no major issues. The course provides good variation and good value. The course is in reasonable conditions.
Always a pleasure to play here
Had a great time, the weather was perfect. The only downside was that the greens had been aerated and it messed up the putting, but it has to be done.
Not worth the drive
If your drive is more than 20 minutes from this course, don't bother. Greens are good, Fairway grass needs to be trimmed lower. Driving range is atrocious, feels like u are hitting out of the rough. Almost feels like they pay to attention to it. Lots and lots of hackers at this course.
Disappointed
First concern is the signage getting to the course was "to small" which makes it easy to pass.
Secondly and most of all, GREENS were in TERRIBLE shape. The divits and marks of people dragging their feet which rips the grass was on every green.
This slowed play because we spent so much time repairing.
Grounds staff needs to do a lot of repairs before we come back.
fun to play
Allways a good please to play. the staff are friendly
fun course for average player
very fun course, large greens and skinny fairways. nothing overly challenging except keeping it straight. greens were fast and had some break. very close to 400 aswell.
Average Course
The course is ok, not really exceptional in any way. It was absolutely dead on the course, played as a single and only played through one threesome, caught up to a foursome at the 18th.
