Whispering Ridge Golf Course
About
Whispering Ridge Golf Course is an executive course that was designed to complement its sister course, the nearby Lakeridge Links. Although it does not have the same length the championship Lakeridge Links has, it still offers about the same level of difficulty. The layout offers a different set of challenges, providing a compelling alternative to the other course. Its design is versatile enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. A few water hazards come into play throughout as well as several deep, strategically placed bunkers. The gently rolling terrain provides some undulations in the fairways and greens. The par-3 third hole is one of the most challenging on the golf course with a gulch along the right as well as sand and rough to the left, all waiting to swallow even slightly errant shots. Accuracy is a necessity on this tricky hole.

Fall
It was a great fall golf day at whispering. Not surprisingly it wasn't busy and the course was wet in spots but it is October.
They did a good job on keeping both the fairways and greens free of leaves.
Exec course.. take the challenge
Late season play. but course provided a good challenge. I am very impressed by this executive course. Will use this course as early season tune up next yr. Drove an hour to play this course. TIME well spent.
Nice course, if you are pressed for time...
Pace of play is about three hours, makes for a great escape without tying up your day. At my level anything with a tee box and a green is a challenge!
Good bang for your buck
Greens and fairway are well maintained. The cart paths are a bit rough.
Short course
Par 65. Several par 3's; some par 4's; only 2 par 5's.Fairways well kept- challenging bunkers. Greens had variety of level and easily reached on the par 3's; to narrow and sloped greens. Pleasant outing and relaxing.
Good course - slight improvements would help greatly
First off, I enjoy playing this course as it is not too difficult for a high handicap player like myself. Today was a fairly nice day and the course was not too crowded so I moved around fairly quickly. Like other reviewers I would have to say one sore point is the bad condition of some of the cart paths; pay attention or you may get bounced out of your cart. Other than that, I am finding that courses that have several par three holes should have some form of yardage markings on the tee deck themselves. Club selection can be a chore when exact yardage is uncertain and this breeds a loss of confidence. Otherwise an enjoyable day!!
Wonderful Time
Always happy to play a solid course in good weather.
Very good layout.
Really enjoy the course. Good layout with some challenging holes. Very decent condition. Only issue is the cart paths, both paved & unpaved were very rough! A few teeth chattering bumps along the way!
good course
Was a good course but was over booked so we teed off later and had to wait at every hole to tee off. But a good challenging course.
Would come back again
My husband and I have played this course a few times and would recommend it to others. It's very scenic and well maintained. The lengths are good for me as a beginner and not so boring for my husband who's an intermediate player. Only wish they would have promotions more often!
Great course for intermediate golfer
Whispering Ridge golf course is in very good shape, except for the cart paths which have many potholes, and the tee boxes are not clearly marked. I almost got lost a couple of times.
Another great deal on GolfNow.
Would definitely play again.
Excellent Staff Service
Family style good times course. Friendly marshals, beverage service and pro shop attendants.
Good condition
It was the first time playing the course. For the price I paid at Golf Now it was worth the value.
The fairways & greens were in great shape.
Played little slower than I anticipated.
Golf range balls need major upgrades. I'm surprised they haven't gotten rid of balls with cuts in them.
To long for so short
Course was in great condition. But waiting on every hole for 10 to 15 minutes was just to much. We started out as a four some by the 15 hole the other three guys I was playing with had left due to such a slow pace of play. I would not recommend this course unless you could be guaranteed the first tee time.
A nice little course that is an easy walk.
The pace of play was very slow. Waited at every tee block from the second hole onward. Some of the golfers in groups behind us gave up and abandoned their round. I can normally walk this course, in a foursome, in about 3 1/2 hours. It took well over 4 1/2 hours (closer to 5 hours) for the round and we were riding. Never saw a marshal for the full round.
fantastic course
I enjoyed every minute. well maintained course, looks beautiful and fantastic to play on.
Nice Executive Par 3/4 Course
We played Whispering and not its sister-course Lakeridge Links. The other course seemed to have a lot of early morning traffic while ours was very quiet. This was our first time playing Whispering. The staff in the Pro shop were courteous and apologized for the "closed" driving range. We were given a $5 discount off our rates to keep us happy. I would have preferred the range being open.
The course has some challenging Par 3s however fairly straightforward Par 4s and a couple of short Par 5s. There are some very nice views of the geography of the area, too.
Signage on the course from one hole to another is virtually nonexistent. Also, cart paths are potholed and very uncomfortable to ride through. They need to put some money into this area.
The restaurant and patio is simple and nice.
Average
From tee to green the course was okay I found the challenge was green to tee box... some of the paths are in such rough shape I felt I was in a bumper car. Other than that was okay.
Well maintained course
The course was in great shape and very well maintained, the staff were very friendly and courteous.
