Whispering Ridge Golf Course
About
Whispering Ridge Golf Course is an executive course that was designed to complement its sister course, the nearby Lakeridge Links. Although it does not have the same length the championship Lakeridge Links has, it still offers about the same level of difficulty. The layout offers a different set of challenges, providing a compelling alternative to the other course. Its design is versatile enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. A few water hazards come into play throughout as well as several deep, strategically placed bunkers. The gently rolling terrain provides some undulations in the fairways and greens. The par-3 third hole is one of the most challenging on the golf course with a gulch along the right as well as sand and rough to the left, all waiting to swallow even slightly errant shots. Accuracy is a necessity on this tricky hole.

Whisper
Nice place to enjoy a round of golf. Staff were quick and friendly. The condition of the course was very good considering the rainfall it got just before we teed off.
ENJOYABLE!
GO PLAY THIS! great for moderately skilled and beginners.
In terrible shape
Whispering Ridge was in terrible shape and looked as though no one had even tried to make any repairs. The cart path was awful. The greens were OK, but the tee decks were some of the worst I've ever played on. Bruce - from Bruce's Reward - seems to have bought this course and completely forgot to do anything with it.
$20 for a round with cart. Can't complain
Course is in good conditions. It's a very short course with a celebration of par 3s on the back 9.
Course in great condition
This is a short course (par 65) but challenging at all skill levels. Not alot of water to deal with, but some. Greens and fairways were in excellent condition. The only negative thing was thank followed a tournament which made the round very slow. Have played this course in 3 hours previously.
Better than working
Golf at Whispering Ridge was great. Weather was good and it was better than working. Only downfall was we were stuck right behind a tournament which we were not told about. It wouldn't have mattered as we still would have played but knowing that you would likely be waiting at some holes would have been nice to know. Thanks Golfnow for the deal.
Enjoyable course to play
An executive course with many challenges for my wife and I as new golfers and even for our friend , considered a very good golfer with 35 years experience. Greens survived a very hard winter in excellent shape. Tee boxes were good as were the fairways. Only complaint would be the cart paths. Huge potholes and very bumpy all over. They could easily be scraped and smoothed out with a minimum amount of work. This is a fun course with some challenging short holes and some nice long ones.
Early year round
Early spring play so course was in good shape (soft) given the weather. Cart trails need improvement.
Challenge is moderate and you can spray the ball a bit. Greens challenging and large. Enjoyable day with friends.
Great course with lots of variety
I play both courses at Lakeridge and even though Whispering Ridge is easier, it still has many challenges to make me come back for more golf.
The third hole (par 3) is 177 yds. With a valley to the right (impossible) and bunker to the left. It's a challenge for everyone!
Great round in October!!
Enjoyed our game here. Greens had been aerated but still rolled well. Could not believe the cart paths were in such terrible condition!! Huge potholes, not maintained at all!! Put some money back into the course.!!!
Very enjoyable course to play
I really like the layout of this course. Every hole is different and has a good variety of short and long holes. The tee offs, fairways and greens were all in good condition.
Very Windy
Although the day we played was very windy with gusts up to 45K we still managed very good rounds. The course was very wet and this coupled with the high winds made for a very challenging round. I would highly recommend this course to any golfer at any skill level. There are several holes that you can reach the green with either a driver or 3 wood depending of the weather conditions of course.
Great round !!!
Got to the course. Submitted my printed receipt. Was given keys to the cart and off I went alone.
Doesn't get much simpler then that.
Caught up to a 2some and played with them.
Great value for the money.
This course is very good for the price.
The time it takes to play a round and the challenge that a few of the holes provide, keep this course on my to play regularly list.
Worth it with a good discount
This is a well-maintained executive course. It can be a little pricey if you want to ride on weekends, but with the discount it was under $50 and a good value.
Really my only beef with the place is that for players that are there for the first time it's very difficult to know where the next hole is. A few signs would go a long way to improving the experience.
This course is well maintained.
We always enjoy playing Whispering Ridge. Course is well maintained. Staff are always friendly and willing to serve.
A great course to perfect your short game!
This is a great course and very well maintained, especially in the last 4-5 years after suffering heavy damage due to high rainfall and (at the time) inadequate drainage, which damaged many of the fairways.
Whispering Ridge is the little sister of Lakeridge Links. Unfortunately, the 9th hole doesn't bring you back to the clubhouse for a refreshment break, but due to it being a par 65, rounds rarely take more than 3.5 hours, even when busy.
The course is beautiful and holes rarely run side by side. The par 3's all play quite different lengths and incorporate water, sand, and elevation changes to keep you on your toes.
I love playing this course to work on my short game, and would highly recommend it to anyone in the area!
My only question to management: Why have you not yet made a price to play both Lakeridge and Whispering on the same day, including lunch and cart???? I'd do this all the time if it was a good discount!
One of my favorite courses in the GTA
Fun course with spectacular views. The well maintained course is challenging. One of my favorite courses. Make sure to take in the great country side views from every hole.
