Hidden Lake Golf Club - Old Course

We didn't play well...first round of the year....First time I've ever played with the occasional pile of snow in the bunker and intermittently on the course. Regardless it was a busy day for staff and they handled it exceptional well.

This is an excellent course, very close to home and normally quite expensive to play...a fairly mild and sunny day in late October made it very positive experience. The greens had been recently aerated so the ball was inclined to go veer off slightly when putting.

Fun course, but slow as molasses. Played with a regular who said he had never seen it this slow, so I will cut them some slack.

Considering the time of year the course was in great shape and condition. I have played here on numerous occasions and I find the club house and greens keeping staff friendly and courteous.

Course is in good shape, very bumpy on fairways but great for walking....issue was we waited on every shot, not good, some holes had 3 groups wtg...and that is with a 9am tee time on a Monday.

Nice old school corse with lots of trees and great greens. Too many high handicap players though keeping the pace slow with no marshalls to push them. Glad I did not pay full price.

Excellent course with challenging holes and wonderful scenery. Had a great round with no waiting whatsoever. All around a very beautiful course. The greens were a bit challenging with undulations which made for an interesting round.

Course was in good shape. Pace of play bogged down on the back nine.

Had a great time on the old course at Hidden Lake . Alot of fun on this one a bit more my speed . Its not too challenging so i would recomend it to anyone at the expert level however there is a new course so id like to see how that compares to the old course . Lots beatiiful scenery and overall a great round . I loved playing here and look forward to playing there again in the near future.

I have played this course 3 times and every time it has been the same thing. The Marshalls are unorganized and are barely a presence on the course, the staff are slow and it seems from the cast waitress to the halfway house they never have all the products they sell in the club house. The course is in decent shape, however, the sand is very hard and barely groomed, the greens are not equally cut and dressed from 1 hole to the next and there is alot of burnt fringes and tee boxes. The worst part of this course is the fact it is ClubLink, even though it is a public course the members feel they are entitled to do as they wish. I will not be returning to this course or any ClubLink course for that matter.

Thank you to the pro shop staff! Thank you for a smooth and friendly check in and also for all your help with finding new golf shoes (on sale! whoo hoo!) for my wife and me. Thank you to the maintenance staff for the excellent golf course conditions and for being so friendly during our round. We are also happy that the weather was perfect!

My wife and I play Hidden Lake several times a year, both courses so I trust that you will find our complaint reasonable.

That is, our sole complaint that day is with your 2 starters .We booked a 7:30 tee time and arrived at our golf cart 10 minutes ahead but your starters angrily told us that we were late and had to tee off at 7:21. They didn't tell us when we checked in with them around 7 am when we had lots of time to spare (so we went back in and bought shoes and balls). Even after our shopping, we were still ahead of time. The starters were griping that it was a busy day and that they needed to keep things moving and that WE needed to keep THEM on time. That's ridiculous. We were early and were ready to tee off for our scheduled 7:30 slot. Eventually the starters relented and sent the 7:21 twosome off on their own. Nevertheless, they continued to be pushy so we teed off a few minutes early because of that.

Despite their concerns that the course would be packed, the Old Course was in fact quite empty that day so I ask you/the starters, "What's the problem? Why the rush? Are you assuming that we would be slow? ... perhaps because you looked chauvinistically at my wife?"

In the end, my wife and I were very happy to play by ourselves as a twosome and in fact, there were no other groups behind us and we saw only a few groups. We completed our round in 3:15, so well ahead of pace.

Despite the starters, we had a fabulous time and in fact, we would have given perfect 5 out of 5 scores across the board had it not been for the starters.

Impeccable course, the only real downfall is they stack the tee times way to closely together so someone is always hitting up your tail. Not a super relaxing round, but great course to play.

Great Staff and the course was in great shape especially with all the rain that we have had.

Most importantly the greens roiled true!!
