Solid Course
Older style course with smaller greens. Layout was ok can feel a bit confusing though with the two courses intertwined, needs better signage.
A good round
The old course was fairly well maintained and since it was just two of us, we moved through fairly quickly. They included a yardage book which was helpful and generally the day was quite enjoyable. It was surprising however, how many ball marks on the green we're not repaired and how many divots people didn't replace - you would think for a members course, people would take more ownership. There was also one hole where an inconsiderate group wouldn't keep quiet and talked loudly through my playing partner's backswing causing his worst shank of the day. That was a little frustrating. Overall, a nice course that I definitely look forward to playing again.
Decent Set-up But Judge Value for Money
The course has a feeling of pitch & putt mixed with traditionally tougher holes in particular when there is 50 yards between some of the Blue & White Tees. The course requires more maintenance and greens more care as they are not in prime condition. I played this course only because of the value deal from Golf Now otherwise would not play it for the rack rate.
great course
great day, greens, were fast and rolling true, and the fairways hard n in prime shape, overall this track is in great condition.
Good
Very well kept. I enjoyed the round with a few friends. Beautiful day! The group ahead of us walking were slow but it was still good. Ended up taking 5 hours. I would have liked to be off in 4
Great course
Our threesome got moved to the new course because the old course was packed, the starter suggested it to us and it didn't cost us extra. Aside from the group in front of us playing PGA your rules and holding everyone up, it was a great course and day.
Decent Course...
Decent course, for the discounted rate... I wouldn't pay their full price to play here. The greens were full of ball marks - We probably fixed 2-4, in addition to our own, on almost every hole.
There was some confusion with our booking, as we were waiting at the first tee on the old course, from roughly 10mins before our tee time, watching group after group tee off ahead of us until about 10-15mins after our scheduled tee time past, before the starter came over and told us there was a tournament playing in front of us and that they actually had us booked on the New course. This ended up working out better for us in the end, as we didn't have to play behind the tournament and the four of us played our round in under 4-hours. So that was nice.
I think there is much better value at other courses, like Crosswinds, for example.
Unhappy pro shop attendant
Nice course. Very busy place Steady pace of play Greens were excellent
When paying in the pro shop the attendant working was miserable no personality
good course to play
Greens are very fast but otherwise a well maintained course.
the old course is great
I have played this course before but let me tell you that the greens were far from acceptable. The weather was lousy, cold and windy. Still like that course.
Great time, except!!
Only my second time playing the old course, was in great shape. Except, people have to start FIXING their ball marks. I was fixing at least 5-7 per green. Other than that, greens were nice and fast, fairways were excellent. I put average for the food and beverage as I didn't have anything. The guys I was paired up were pretty friendly, played the wrong tee's though. Oh, one more thing. Be wary of the sand traps, not too much base.
good not great
Course and staff good but on course catering was poor
Great course Great pace
Anyone will enjoy this course, still not completely perfect, greens are fantastic to put, not easy, a few blind shots that are really tough,
Been playing here for quite sometime
Great course that I've been playing for about 10 years now. I always say to play the old over the new course.
Straight forward
This is a straight forward course and while not overly difficult it is pleasant to play. The back 9 is more interesting than the front 9. It is an excellent "couples" course as it is very friendly for the short hitters playing from the correct tees.
This course is in very good condition
The greens are beautiful and fast. Open fairways except one par three. We had a great time.
Slow pace of play
Hidden Lake is an average course taken over by Club Links. Rate of play was slow. No play preparation by the Marshall's to refresh expectations of play and remind players to "play it forward". People in front of us were playing from the yellows when they should clearly have been playing from the whites. Knocked the ball in all directions and were on carts to boot. Marshall's non existent on the course and do nothing when you do talk to them to advance play. Ready golf not in effect. Pay your money and have at it seems to be the norm not the rule. Preparing players to play is usual at all clubs I play at in the states. Don't know why we don't do more more of it here. Love the course but changes are needed to improve play.
Nice local track
This was my second time playing the Old course at Hidden Lake and, again, I really enjoyed it. I was paired up with a member who was great fun and a pleasure to play with. Nothing really stands out about the course, it's just generally a nice local track with great facilities and very nice people. So much so that I'm considering membership!
