About
Tyandaga Golf Course is located in the heart of Burlington surrounded by the rugged beauty of the escarpment that encloses it. The municipal course is popular for its player-friendly layout. It has a gentle nature but it does offer a fair amount of challenges. Bunkers are strategically situated along the fairways and greensides. There are also a few ponds and a meandering stream that comes into play on several holes. One of the most difficult holes is the par-3 ninth, which features hazards along the entire right side from tee to green. It is a beastly 168 yards but par is possible. The back nine finishes with a strong hole as well. Tyandaga's tricky final hole has out-of-bounds down the right side but there is ample room down the left side for the tee shot. The deep green is sloped front to back with a bunker to the front right.

Getting closer to become an executive course
This municipal course was ok to have a round of golf few years ago. However, they are reducing the number of par 4s to par 3s. Earlier they reduced hole number 14 and now hole number 18, with the back nine having 4 par 3s for a back nine par of 33.

Shameful
Once a great course. Cutting down hole #14 and now #18 from par 4s to par 3s is a travesty which will hasten it's demise.
Twilight at Tyandaga
Great course with some very challenging holds requiring target golf. The value for the money is fantastic. It has a good mix of challenging and scoreable holes. I recommend this course now before the very hot conditions as it will be very dry. Some holes may become even more difficult due to the balls bouncing everywhere and out of play.
Great course but homeowners are ruining it !
Was a great course until the homeowners took over. Too many Par 3’s to accommodate the homeowners, you bought a house on a golf course live with it ! Course is in great shape and staff are very friendly and equally frustrated with the shortening of the course. We want our golf course back the way it was. If you buy a house on a course expect the odd ball in your backyard.

Pace of play needs work
Overall good experience, course was in good shape. But the pace of play was bad, as the group ahead of us was constantly slow. A Marshall on the back 9 could have helped.

Now has 7 par 3’s
Heads up. The previously nice par 4 eighteenth hole has now been permanently changed to a short par 3 , making this the second nice par 4 hole converted to par 3 in the past few years, because of complaints from neighbouring houses. So now a total of 7 par 3’s on the course. So Tyandaga is now really just an executive course, and should be advertised as such.

Solid course for the price
Great course for the price point and overall layout. Been playing for some time now. Could use a bit of maintenance on some of the holes, especially the tee boxes but still good nevertheless. Noticed changes to hole 18. Switched to a par 3 and curious to know what happened there. The hole is kind of uninteresting and could use a little more creativity. Assuming some maintenance will be happening but as it stands, could be layed out better. All in all, solid for what you are paying.
