Grand Valley Golf Course

About
Located in Cambridge, Grand Valley Golf Course has become an area favorite since opening in 1982. Each of the 18 holes has its own unique character that combine to offer something for every golfer. The front nine of the course features narrow, tree-lined fairways and challenging greens that are difficult to read. Right away, golfers are forced to choose accuracy over distance since straying from the fairways could result in an extremely difficult lie. Golfers will be able to make up for this on the back nine where long hitters have the opportunity to showcase their skills. These holes open up a bit more and feature wider fairways. Distance off the tees will be met with great rewards at Grand Valley Golf Course.

Very underrated
This course was in great shape and it allows for the novice golfer to have a great time while not being punished too harshly. The course is in great condition!! Highly recommend.
Good bang for your buck
Course is very nice earlier in the season. Gets a bit beat up later in the summer.
Great value for the money
The course is competently maintained, if a bit weedy in patches along the fairway. By no means the nicest or most challenging course, but great for getting in a round at a reasonable price for the beginner or intermediate golfer looking to practice.
Bad, Bad, Bad
It only clearly shows how greedy Golfnow and the course ownership are. Absolutely appalling playing conditions. Not worth a penny.
Course freshly groomed
The fairways where recently cut which was nice but almost too short it felt like you were hitting off a hard wood floor at times just couldn’t dig in and the greens where well kept
Steady improvements
Usually the course is pretty beat up this time of year but I was pleased to see that the fairways were still intact and all of the tee boxes were being maintained. Greens were soft but consistent. There are indications all over the course that it is improving in quality.
Don't bother.
Tee areas are brutal, had a hard time putting in my tee. Fairways are basically a cow pasture. Had 2 women in front of me and being by myself, they would not wave me through. Finally met a foursome and they let me play through. I could only play from the red tee as the blue had no tee blocks. Therefore, it was a executive course as the longest tee was 265. Unable to hit my driver for fear of hitting the women on the green. Price was right with a cart but not worth it. Terrible conditions for this time of year. Also, they were still cutting the rough and fairways after 1pm. Usually this is done in the morning when very few golfers are playing. I know this as I worked at 2 courses and I was finished cutting at 11 am the latest. Absolutely the round of golf I have experienced.
Play somewhere else unless you enjoy being annoyed all day with slow play and terrible conditions.
