Grand Valley Golf Course

About
Located in Cambridge, Grand Valley Golf Course has become an area favorite since opening in 1982. Each of the 18 holes has its own unique character that combine to offer something for every golfer. The front nine of the course features narrow, tree-lined fairways and challenging greens that are difficult to read. Right away, golfers are forced to choose accuracy over distance since straying from the fairways could result in an extremely difficult lie. Golfers will be able to make up for this on the back nine where long hitters have the opportunity to showcase their skills. These holes open up a bit more and feature wider fairways. Distance off the tees will be met with great rewards at Grand Valley Golf Course.

Bad and terrible
The guys were just not ready yet......but greedy to list in GolfNow. Nothing clean, fairways not mowed.... absolutely appalling.
To make things worse, profanity all around. Third rate fellows calling themselves golfers.
But I guess you get what you paid for.
Good value
Not the best course I’ve played. There are a lot of hackers that play here (myself included) so with the holes overlapping, you’ve gotta pay attention. Playing on a weekend, you can never expect any pace of play, but for the money it’s a good course. The greens are in great shape and present a good challenge. I’ll be back.
Slow day, but great bang for your buck
Conditions were descent- pace of play was terrible, but it was a Saturday and this course is full of hackers. Greens were in good shape and fast! Keep an eye out for balls. We almost got hit afew times and the guy in front of us got pelted!
All in all, I’ve played here afew times and for the money, it’s worth it.
Good Value for Money
Not a bad course to play. No water (ponds) or bunkers, which makes it an easier round to play because you don't have to contend with those hazards. Good value.
So.....so course
I was worried about some of the reviews. But after playing, I think those negative reviews are not incorrect. Many fairways hardly had any grass. Greens were okay.
Very slow play. Kids who know nothing about the game, old players who can hardly hold the club's, drunkards and Cambridge scum......everybody was playing.
Not much to feel good about.
Cheap for a reason
Cheap for a reason. The front nine had ben aerated, but nobody thought to roll the Greens afterward. It was like putting on bumpy shag carpeting. The ball was tracking like it was drunk! We eventually had to go to a Two-putt rule for the scoring. The round included lunch, cart and range balls, which made it OK for the cheap price. Too bad I purchased 2 foursomes. Oh well we will play it once more just to use those, but never again. On a good note we stayed for dinner, the Cabbage rolls were excellent!
For the player who wants to break 80 once.
No sand, very little water.
Lots of short par 4s produce the odd eagle putt.
13th green is two tiered like a mini putt hole.
3rd hole has a narrow chute, iron instead of driver is safest and play for par or bogey. Lots of birdie chances to get it back.
6th hole is my favorite, cut the corner with a long wood and make the green for an eagle try.
8th hole is also reachable with driver. As is 4th.
I’ve hit the stick on par 3 #10 before but it bounced so far away I missed the birdie putt.
Back nine is not as fun but it’s got easy par holes if you had a decent front and need a good score.
Friendly staff, great food, slow pace
Got a great deal for golf, cart & $10 credit towards the food.
Played there today as a twosome with cart. Round lasted 4.5 hours which is quite a bit longer than it should've been. Pace was fairly slow. Had to wait at every single hole.
Friendly staff and great food which balanced out the experience.
Probably won't play there again for a while.
A great place to golf for a quick game
Enjoyed our game at Grand Valley as we always do. Nice and fairly easy course to golf at.
There are great staff here.
Greens need a bit of upkeep. The grass is sparse with bare spots. Makes very difficult putting.
The rest was great, especially the staff who were absolutely awesome.
